Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap

I`ve been thinking, my 2004 RX330 has a checkerboard hood from all of the gravel and rocks thrown at it over the years, so it`s time for some serious repair work. One option is to use touch-up paint, another option is to take the hood to a paint shop OR cover it with Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap. Has anyone used Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap on their car, if so what kind of success did you have? If I do decide to cover the hood I would also cover the spoiler, door guard and mirrors with Carbon Fiber Vinyl Wrap.

You need a near perfect finish for a wrap.

Thanks. So prepare I must and clear the dust before I wrap. Do you think this is a DIY project? Hood, spoiler, mirrors and door guards.

Any rock chips or major paint imperfections will show thru the wrap.

From my YouTube degree… you may need to sand and feather out all the rock chips before wrapping.
