Got an 02 Seadoo GTX sitting in the garage.
I was at West Marine and found this Maguiar`s RV oxidation remover. I used a yellow pad and probably hit it 4 times, then waxed it. How`s the backend look so far?
I removed the grab bar sending out to a company and to have the rubber replaced too.

I want to use wool pads on gelcoat. What Griots 6" wool pads will fit my Griot`s buffer? Anyone have an idea? Many thanks.

All I see in the pics is a bunch of random stuff on top of something, do not see what you are talking about..

If you are attempting to correct gelcoat, you will need a more serious compound and a Rotary to get it done the best.

If you do not have this, then go with what you have... It will be a lot harder and take longer.. You will not get the same results.

Any pad that is the same size as your Backing Plate will fit your backing plate..

3M makes really good marine compounds and polishes for gelcoat.

Doesn`t help with the pics upside down, but I see when you click on them, they will show right side up. You will see a Griot`s 6" orbital
with a pad. I was hoping you guys would see the polisher and tell me if there is a 6" wool pad available. I see many people using a wool pad with better results.
The polish I used is pictured and mentioned in my first post. That`s all I have. Is there a better solution?

Yes there are many different 6 inch pads available that will fit your machine.. You just need to have the correct sized Backing plate..

If you will watch the videos I linked above, the absolute Best Boat Detailer in all of Washington State is showing you how he corrects Boat Gelcoat... You have gelcoat on your Seadoo, right???

Lee also shows the products he uses which are always going to give you the best results.. Other products, not so much...

He has over 15 years experience and has fully Detailed a few thousand boats.. I have personally seen and touched many of his Detailed Boats and he is as good on black boats as I am the best on black painted vehicles...

Certainly, you may choose exactly what you want to get out of this project.. Good luck with this !

He uses only wool pads from 3M. Go to 3M.com and look for them..
Or watch those videos and he will probably show them and their part numbers and you can order them from 3M..
I checked the Autopia Store and they do not sell 3M wool pads for marine use..

You guys are being harsh. It looks better in the second picture. The pictures are what needs some work!
