Merlin:
Did you do anything "special" to cleaning and then protecting this Porsche`s canvas/fabric top?
Is the top black or dark blue in color? Looks kinda dark blue in one of the photos.
Also, did the white clear-coat/paint have any issues or problems in/with it before you began your correction and polishing process?
I assume that being white, they are hard/difficult to photograph.

Thanks for posting the one tape job pic!! I know it sounds "weird" (which you ARE, Captain Obvious) but I admire your tape jobs because the red CarPro tape looks so neat on certain hues/colors of vehicles, like the vehicle was pin striped or has accent trim pieces applied by the manufacturer to it. That and how neatly and tidy it is done because my tape jobs look like some first-grader`s attempt at a science project, so yes there is both this admiration and jealousy in how its done by you. It`s one of those overlooked detailing tasks that is time-consuming and I believe (very) necessary.

Thanks for posting your excellent detailing of this particular Porsche. I say that because I was under the impression that ALL the Porsches in Florida were detailed by Sizzle Chest exclusively. (No offense Sizzle Chest!)

On a completely different note, how is your Merlin`s Enchanted Concourse Wax (another new acronym: MECW) business going?? Are you having any raw product supply and procurement problems??
For those Autopians interested in this wax, please see this linked thread product review:

Thank you for asking (all the questions below) I hope I was able to answer them for you.

On this particular vehicle, the owner said the Porsche $tealership added a coating to the convertible top.
I offer a cleaning with Raggtopp convertible cleaner and sealing with the layering of QUARTZ Fabric.
This is an a-la-carte option. It is very time-consuming (tape off, drop cloth the entire car, except roof etc.).
In this case, he stated that due to the fact the $tealership added a convertible coating, it wasn`t needed.

Yes, it was dark blue.

Yes, there were swirl marks, etc. on the paint. I polish the paint to the best it can be (safely) for correction, clarity, and high shine before installing CQuartz Finest Reserve.

Thank you. It is time-consuming to apply/remove Automotive Masking Tape. For me, it is a huge safety factor. A case of Automotive Masking Tape is a lot cheaper than replacing a single OEM part.

He`s on the west coast of Florida and I`m on the east coast (Palm Beach) area. We have our fair share of Porsche`s here too.

Thank you for asking. The pure white Caranuba`s (and other chemistries) have become much more difficult and expensive to obtain.
It took me a few years (begging) to obtain the formula. No, sorry, I didn`t create it. The chemist is one of the very best on the planet.
My only requirement was that I did not ever disclose the formula or where/who it came from. IMHO it`s one of the best waxes on the planet!

The products for the formula are expensive (they are top-of-the-line products) and they are very difficult (lots of fiery hoops) to obtain.
The melting of the solid products. Adding the liquid products...(maintaining the temperature) and the pouring is very time-consuming.

It is a huge PITA to obtain the products, measure them all out, heating plates with magnetic mixers, and much more, but I can say I did it!
NOTE: I did add "pure" graphene to the formula. No, it didn`t make it bulletproof, but it did add hydrophobicity, deep gloss, and longevity.
