2017 BMW X3 Carbon Black Metallic

I bought this car last weekend and when I got it home I noticed it had a ton of buffer holograms in it. It`s a `17 X3 xdrive MSport, Carbon Black Metallic. Someone hacked it pretty good with a rotary. There are some scratches that I`ll take care of later, but I just wanted to get the holograms out. I used what polish I had laying around (Megs UC with a white pad, and also Megs #2 with an orange pad where there were some areas that were dull from automatic car washes.) Topped with old reliable Rejex. I haven`t polished a car for quite a while, but with this car the paint is too nice not to take care of it. Love that the black is actually blue in most light. Machine used is my good ol` Flex 3401. The background in the first after picture isn`t the best, but those holograms are history.

Holy smokes! Poor paint was hammered! It’s like they dipped their rotary pad in dust before inflicting all those holograms...

Looks so much better! I work at a BMW shop - I do love seeing a clean car in Carbon Black.

Thanks! Yeah, a cloudy day at the dealership sort of hid those holograms. But, it was fun to polish them out. The more I look at the Carbon Black, the more I like it.

I just recently learned (via this forum) that Carbon Black Metallic has a blue tint to it in light, and I can certainly see that in your pictures.
