Review - Adams UV Ceramic Paint and Spray Coating

Nice write up. It’s definitely interesting. I have to agree it would be extremely helpful for someone doing their first coating.

Some more feedback. I moved onto another test on this panel that I had Adams on. I had no problem removing the coatings with 303 step 2 polish and a polishing pad.

One thing I will nit pick on is the packaging. Most coating companies package their bottles in a box of some sort. Adams just sends out the bottle in the package which I find kind of cheap and just asking for trouble if the bottle breaks or leaks just like what happened to my bottle.

Credit to their customer service for repacking the bottle and sending one out from their local store. But again just the bottle inside the shipping box with wrapping paper.

Thanks. It’s pretty fool proof that’s for sure. Not as slick as SPS as I was playing around with that some more this weekend.

Cool write up, Guz. Thanks for the time you put into this, and for making the video as well.

NICE!!!

Thanks. It should help others who are curious on the application.

Read someone on YT had recieved a bottle that was broke and most had leaked out. I suspect he called like you did, maybe that`ll jab them to get a box for future orders. I have BAAAAD luck so if I order it tomorrow I`ll 100% get a broken bottle. I`m surprised they don`t have a box for it, I`d even expect them it to have in a nice looking one. Their main clientele seems like the type that would make an un-boxing video lol.

What does everyone recommend for the last polishing step when applying the uv ceramic paint coating?

TW has the ceramic polish and wax before using the spray coating

CarPro has essence

Would Dodo Juice Lime Prime be a good choice?

Any finishing polish followed by a prep wipe.

Lime Prime and Lime Prime Lite have always been extremely heavy on the leftover oils for me. I could never get a clean wipeoff with them, so I wouldn`t recommend them as a pre-coating prep. I agree with The Guz, go with a standard finishing polish for your abrasive.

This has nothing to do with the paint coating but they implemented the same feature into their leather coating which is a new addition to their line.

I have this in my cart right now. Just trying to decide if I should pull the trigger or not

^^^I`ve used it. Works as advertised. The UV light is actually pretty cool on the interior bits...you can see heavy/light spots/areas you missed/etc.

I bought it, as well as the uv paint coating, glass coating kit, headlight coating wipes, and a bunch of air fresheners. I also bought 2 bottles of the hand sanitizer they just released...over priced yeah, but they will donate a bottle to their local emergency / relief services.

I can say I haven`t found an Adam`s product yet I dont enjoy using

They`ve really stepped it up in the past 2 years, products have always been pretty damn good imho. But they were lagging big time on ceramic and more advanced stuff. I don`t get the massive hate towards them. Outside of their Polishes which are oddly very expensive. Their stuff`s pretty cheap, and everything I`ve used I`d buy again. And they have an iron remover that actually smells pretty okay which is nuts lol. And I like Adam`s story of starting out dead broke and living in the office, to making his company what it is today. Hopefully in 2020 they work more towards adding stuff for the pro detailers.

I love I can get 5 gallons of their Iron Remover for right around $200 when they run a 20% sale. It works as good as Iron X to me, smells worlds better and even on a 25% AGO sale, 5 gallons of Iron X would be almost twice the price.

The new Ironx scent is almost zero. I don’t know when it will be released.

That`s one product I haven`t tried from them yet. I wish they would have the spray and coat product they had on their Instagram page available for purchase.

Interesting. I think Adam`s Iron Remover is the weakest product in their entire line. Glad it works for you!
