Iron Trick- Red Stain Removal

So after my last post asking about coffee and coolaid stain removal. I was determined to find something that works. I tried the folex and kids n pets which worked awesome on fresh spills but wouldnt touch any old settled stains. So i did a lllllot of research on how to remove them and products "that work". I ordered 8 different so called red stain removers or stain removers. Non worked. Went to my suppiler, he gave me some stuff, didnt work. Then i remembered Truedetailer mention top of the line had some red stain remover. what the heck, ill try it. So i got yesterday. This morning i had a customer detail on a surburban with stains everywherrrrre. I tried every chemical we had and used the extractor, nothing would touch them. So perfect opportunity to try it out the iron trick. Well here are the results.
Process-
spray red stain remover on the stain
lay iron on top of a moist cotton towel for 30 seconds then press down firm for 10 seconds
lift and repeat if needed.

\. it was a lil hard against the edge, didnt want to melt the plastic, i ended up taking it off. went over it a couple more times to get the rest, came out basically perfect

My boss couldnt believe i got them out.
When the lady came to pick up her car, she said you prob didnt get the stains out huh? I said take a look.
She couldnt believe it. She said that she had takin her car to 4 detail shops and 2 dealerships and they never even touched it. Needless to say she was very very happy and the tip wasnt to shaby either :rockon
 
Cool. I'm glad you found something that worked. Those red stains are a real bear. So just so I get you straight, you sprayed the stain remover on the spot, covered the spot with a moist cotton towel and then placed a hot iron on top of the towel over the spot for 40 seconds pressing down firmly on the last 10 seconds? Is that right? Which red stain remover ultimately did the trick?? This is a great thread. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your results with us. :)

It is also available at carpet cleaning supply stores.

Just a quick heads up. It's not recommended for wool and I think some home and possibly some vehicle carpets will have wool content.

Thats for heads up, also thanks for the link. I was looking for somewhere where you could buy it by the gallon.

The iron is creating a steaming effect and with the red buster its lifting the stain...I would bet that any good APC, or like product would lift the stain with the iron on it....its the heat that is extracting the stain, not the specific product necessarily
