Price Matching

For those of you that do price matching, how do you do it? I’ve tried it three times and it always gets screwed up. I tried putting a comment in the comment box asking to price match with X company and I give their price for an item. All three times I got “when we checked they were not offering this item at this price”. Some of it is my fault for waiting until the end of a sale to try to get the best price and when AG checked the price had gone back to normal price. I’ve thought of taking a screen shot, but where can I put it when I order? Is it just better to order from another company? I use PBMGs forums and want to support their business and only price match when there is a large dollar amount difference (like pads on sale for $9 instead of $15), but price matching just has not worked for me.

I find it easier to call and do the price matching through phone and email. With email you can attach screenshots as well. I`m sure they would prefer your money going to them over giving it to a competitor.

Ive always copied and pasted the link to the page where I found a better price. So far Ive not run into what you have (sale running out before they check)

I see that an AutoGeek rep has been assisting with that specific issue directly, but just as a general reply for everyone else, here`s a link to the price match policy. https://www.autopia-carcare.com/price-match-policy.html . We do ask for a link or screen shot just so we can make sure we`re matching apples to apples. If anyone has any questions, feel free to call, email or send me a message here.

This is how I do it because if I don’t get a positive response then I have a choice. I prefer to shop here within reason.

I got an answer from AG on price matching. Take a screen shot and send an email, make a note in the note box so they can reference the email. It’s a little convoluted but it’s doable. The price has to be way different for me to even think about price matching.

During Black Friday another company was running a great sale on Rupes Microfiber Pads at about half the price of PBMG and I couldn’t pass them up. I’m going to get them at a good price but AG sent me the Rupes blue foam instead of the blue microfiber and now I have to send them back and that’s a hassle.

I really dislike the Rupes blue foam pads and I would love to send back all of the ones I own. Probably throw in the Rupes green pads too.
