What is the Softest Hand Applicator Pad? Delicate Black Paint Content...

Hi all,
I`m looking for the softest hand applicator for my black car. Due to the sensitive nature of black paint, I try to be as careful as I can with anything that drags along the paint (soft wash mitts, Master Blaster air dryer, soft spot-drying towels, pads, etc...).

I`m getting ready to apply a coat of Jescar Powerlock then P21S and I`m inquiring to see what`s the softest/safest hand applicator pads for these products. I prefer something easy to grip (like Adam`s hex applicator) rather than the flat sponges.

Aside from applicator pads, what`s the softest options for wash mitts/pads and spot drying towels.

Thanks in advance.

Hey P Rock,

Not sure about the softest but if you are going to apply Jescar Powerlock by machine you could use a red waxing pad or black finishing pads.
For hand I find these really nice and very soft and have not noticed any issues.

Or these:

Also you will be applying wax or sealant so the applicator is going to be loaded with product which is going to be between the pad and the surface anyway and will provide your insulation in a way.

For wash mitt I like the Gyeon Wash Mitt.

This is all EXACTLY what I`m looking for. Will order.... Thank you

If you want some of the most gentle car wash mitt. Merino wool mitt is an option. The downside is the maintance it comes with. And I`m not kidding when say you are going to brush with a hair comb LOL. The Gyeon mf mitt is also great and there is a few like them. Microfiber Madness has a little special blend to theirs that I feel get a little more softer than the 70/30 mf blends Gyeon and other uses.

Here is Carpros wool wash mitt that is awesome on sensetive paints. Paired with a high lubricated car soap like Carpro Reset you get a very effective and gentle wash.

I like the Velcro holders, use any pad softness, can’t
drop easily.
GG. Has one, I have the 3” Nanoskin one

There’s a couple Pad Pals with The soft grip, with
Velcro like Pinnacle’s, WGs.

Or the smaller one

I’d like to give these 2 siders a go, soon.

When I’m doing a thorough foam and 2bucket wash,
this is for my picky GM black paint.
Real , natural 2sided. Pure luxury!

Its why I rarely use the CP merino wool mitt now. I just dont want to have to comb it out. I already have 3 dogs lol.

The 4" Cyclo white pads are probably the softest pad I have ever used for applying sealant/waxes. I think they are softer than the red and gold ones from LC and B&S.

The softest hand applicators that I know of are the old style 5.5" Lake Country CCS Blue Jeweling pads, but since the CCS pads have been updated, the Black Finishing pad is not the softest. I`d buy one or two and cut them up. The LC Crimson HydroTech`s are also pretty dang soft.
