2009 Buick Lacrosse - Paint correction - A Miracle Detailing - Extreme Makeover

Folks that know me or have followed me for years know I`m not a big 50-50 Before/After pics guy but...
I had a 2009 Buick Lacrosse with 10 years of neglect. Not every car is coating worthy. This got Coli 845

It was an Extreme Makeover and I would like to share the final results with you.

She was blown away!

Thanks for looking!

That particular color responded very well to your expertise and choice of products. VERY nicely done sir.

Looks great. Does it have hard or soft paint. Did you have to use a compound. Wanted to know because I might be doing one soon

Laugh as you may, Merlin, these are the kind of vehicles many of us detailers, both professional and hobbyist, detail on a regular basis. While detailing these vehicles is "less glamorous" than the many hi-end vehicles that EVERYONE oogle`s and ahhh`s about, I do not mind them because it is easy to see the BIG improvement made in (highly) neglected vehicle`s appearance. In fact I prefer them to a perfectly cleaned and kept vehicle because the appearance gain is only incremental, sometimes at best.
On the other hand, those vehicle owner`s who do bring their vehicle`s back for their yearly (or bi-annual) detailing are MUCH easier to detail AND the owner, for the most part, has made an attempt to keep them somewhat clean (but not always! As one individual has said to me, "That`s what I have you for; to clean my vehicle once a year!)

Any way, I know someone may be asking WHY this particular vehicle was not coating-worthy. I do not know if this was your suggestion because the clear coat/paint has too many non-correctable/removable defects that would be magnified with a coating, OR if the owner just could/would not justify the cost of such a coating.
Regardless, that Buick looks fantastic and probably, as some vehicle owner`s have said to me, "much better than when I bought it!"
