Thanks for looking...

I am by no means questioning your work because the end result is always top notch but why don`t you ever show any before conditions of the vehicles you work on?

I`m not really one for 50/50 shots. I`m not a big fan of it`s dirty...TADA now it clean! I do all my pics and vids with a POS iPhone that probably could not capture swirls anyway.
I have not considered buying an expensive DSLR and lenses. My largest investment has been a gimbal for my iPhone and I`m not too fond of dealing with it and lugging it around.
I found a gimbal was a necessary evil for me. My 360 walkaround video with an iPhone looked like Michael J. Fox on five Red Bulls trying to make a video during an earthquake.

Sadly, my (old) iPhone (with a lens smaller than a pencil eraser) does not do a good job of capturing "before" (swirl/hologram) shots.
I recently had a 2003 BMW M3 that looked like the entire car had clear coat failure. It was a white and frosty vehicle when it arrived.

BTW - When I first started out I went into ad nauseam detail on everything I used...This lug nut brush used counter clockwise w/XYZ APC etc.
Now I`m lucky if I actually get a chance to get pics and a quick walkaround vid before the client comes to pick up their vehicle.

Anyway per your request, I posted a 50/50 shot of the top of the hood vs. the bottom of the hood. This job was a paint correction only.
No coating was applied...I think the gloss would have increased with a coating. So Bison5x this one`s for you. 50/50`s from me are rare.
Side Note: At one time I did consider purchasing a DSLR and expensive lens setup...I bought a couple of polishing machines instead.

Thanks for asking...

I hear ya Merlin. I`ve gotten away from taking pictures of every step and process. I really only share maybe 20% of what I actually detail. It can bog down a detail. I do try and take before pics just for security/insurance but I`ve forgotten to take plenty of after pics. Setting up to get a perfect 50/50 shot for a promotional picture is good, but every car is overkill. I detailed ~300 cars last year and stopping to document a lot of before/after pics can add up to a lot of time. I just got back from rinseless washing, replacing the passenger side cup holder assembly and hard wiring a Valentine One radar detector on this Porsche 911 Turbo and I didn`t take a single pic today lol.
