McKee`s Trademark Wax Challenge

I edited this basically because it was just a case of crossed wires.

My phone number wasn`t correct and my email got held up in their spam folders.

Spoke with Nick he was really nice and I`ll be posting my review as soon as I get it on the paint :)

Hello.

I apologize for the confusion, as this was an older promotion that was still live on the site. I`m old-fashioned in the sense that I like to pick up the phone versus sending an email. I attempted to call you Friday afternoon, to see if you were interested in following through with the wax challenge. I left a voicemail as well.

The message that you sent, was it via email? I receive a lot of emails every day, and I respond to every single one of them. I do not see an email from you.

I would be more than happy to extend the wax challenge. You can call me back on the number I left in the voicemail, or by calling the direct number listed on our website.

Again, please accept my apology for the misunderstanding. My goal is to gain customers, not lose them. :)

I contacted you through your contact form, I didn`t see an email on your site, just the contact button which I thought was the preferred method.

I never got a phone call or voicemail from you. Perhaps you dialed the wrong number?

I appreciate the response. I can call you today if the offer still stands.

Thanks again

The offer still stands to you and anyone else that`s interested. :)

When we speak later today we`ll make sure emails and phone numbers are correct.

While it sounds like the McKee`s thing is working out for you, if I had a garage queen I`d be really tempted to go with a high carnuaba content wax. For no particular reason Dodo Juice or Poorboy`s Natty`s like really speak to me. Carnauba waxes are probably not a great idea from a longevity or dust collection perspective, but I have fond memories of spreading One Grand Blitz Wax on my vehicles years ago and it would make even light colors like silver glow unlike anything else I`ve used.

I`ve actually tried Natty`s Paste Wax. I think I still have the "Red White and Blue" wax that they sold as a special a long time ago.

It`s a nice wax, but I didn`t find the look to be better than Souveran on my paint. The only thing about Souveran is it basically washes off after a rain so there`s really no longevity at all. But for a garage queen I think it`s an excellent wax.

Haven`t tried the DoDo Juice but I know a lot of folks like it.

As I wrote above, the "fanciest" wax I`ve ever used was Zymol Vintage. It was a really nice wax... but I really didn`t notice enough of a difference between that and Souveran that it was worth the thousand or more dollars it goes for. It did last a whole lot longer than Souveran though.

But after going through so many different waxes that were expensive to cheap I never really found a carnuba that I liked much more than Souveran for pure looks and price point.

A cost of Souveran just seems to make a day of working on the car all seem worthwhile. At least until the next day.
