So today I used the Hydro Blue and it was easy and the gloss is amazing.. one thing I didn`t like was when I was drying it, it kept leaving an oily film. I had to rewash the car and nothing... So I just ended up using ONR over it and it helped a little.. does anyone know what happened?

That`s a first. You did hit it with a strong stream of water when rinsing correct? Panel at a time. Used it several times. Never had this happen. Was the vehicle stripped of prior product before hydro blue? I used a iron remover before application.

Yes I did. Pressure washer.. I did one pass.. maybe I should kept it longer. Just clayed only..

Washed with Nanoskin Cherry.. clayed with CG yellow clay bar. Rinsed off again, while still wet went and applied hydro using a kwazar sprayer in sweeping motions (might of put to much?) Rinsed again with pressure washer.. started to dry it and noticed the oily marks.. and wouldn`t buff off.. so I rewashed it and it got better but still there. Brought out ONR to help take it off

Please give complete process....

Something not right.

Ive not used the McKees but if you put that much HydrO2 on you would have definitely over applied. They recommend 1 to 2 spritzes per panel. WOW a kwazar?

EDIT: Not being a smart ass...do they have instructions on the bottles?

What did you use for clay lube? Was it washed off ?

I found the out the hard way do not apply in direct sun it will leave stains I figure it dries to quick.

I’m with Ronkh. I would bet the slippery stuff from any clay lube would need to be physically washed off, not just rinsed off.

I just re-leared that lesson a few months ago when I had some FK1000P fail in about two weeks because I didn`t wash/polish after claying.

Speaking from my experience with the stuff, It will streak if used on too hot a surface, used too much, or didn`t wash off clay lube / etc..

Applying this stuff in a kwazar is not needed - way too much product. two or three sprays per panel tops, then immediately rinse off.

Yeah I know, I think I over applied

Nanoskin glide.... Didn`t wash it, just rinsed.. maybe this?

That`s one of the culprits.

Tips:
1. Work ONE panel at a time.
2. Hold the bottle of Hydro Blue in ONE hand, and the hose nozzle in the OTHER hand. Spray, and IMMEDIATELY rinse off.

Refer to tip #2. :)

Hydro Blue is applied to my personal vehicles every other weekend, in the direct Florida sun, with no issues. Once you incorporate tips #1 and #2, it`s smooth sailing.

Thanks for the support guys. B)

Am I missing something? Or just doing something really wrong?.. I just did the first wash since adding blue and it was amazing the water bead. But onces I added soap and washed it off no more bead. Did my soap strip it off?

What soap did you use?
