PSA : Washing your Towels in your laundry Washer

And for the wiki, I wash all my towels in the washer except for :

Wheel Towels
& Glass Towels

But if you get the g1st on how OCD I am about even washing clothes in a ~clean sterile inner/outer tub~, I generally am doing anywhere from 2 prerinses in the laundry sink. If it`s polish towels, they generally get 3 prerinses. The washer afterwards is mainly a tool to get them rinsed extra well and not sopping wet due to it`s spin cycles...

Glass towels I use max on two DD is anywhere from 2-3 towels max. They are no pile towels so they dry quick by just hanging them in the boiler room.

Ah so you clean the glass towels during the pre-rinse step?

Good thread and reconfirms my hesitation of washing wheel towels in my top-loader washing machine.

Recently used the free "affresh" sample to see what it did. Can say I noticed any difference. But then again I don`t use fabric softeners nor scented detergents and we always leave the door open between cycles.

Huh, I go through a *LOT* of glass towels and I never treat `em special. I do wash them separately to avoid MF-lint-contamination, and that`s no biggie since I always have so many needing laundered.
