literally before I could even open my trunk to get my spray to wipe down my front bumper from the 60 mile drive to the monthly club meet, the owner was already at my car wanting to book an appointment soon

the only reason he gave me for trading hellcats was that he got tired of having a black car

●So here is where I`m looking to get some other opinions here, as I still have time to buy any product I may want to use that I don`t already own.

this will not be a coating job, but I am keeping the option open to use pblv2 or even cancoat

this will be completed at his residence as a mobile job-which i didnt really want to do but as an existing client I`m okay considering I let him know I wouldnt do anything more than a light polish mobile-no coatings like csl etc.

there`s another thing too, he lives in a city that has water restrictions on washing at home so I might be limited to RW. also, this job can`t take more than a day as I`ll be driving almost 2 hours to get to the job site

so im thinking RW, clay and a light polish such as Essence or pro polish

but then what to use?

first option that came to mind was Polish Angel escalate or their finishing polish (great reason to buy it, lol)
and then Master Sealant
and if I ever came back bi monthly or something I could add high gloss or zirkon then

So I asked the owner if he wanted more bright glossy shine or a deeper wet look and he said he`d like it deeper and to "look like a miror" so I thought about blackfire tps and black ice. I have used black ice in the past on hemi orange with great results

then I thought I`d just start a thread where you tell me what you`d do

remember this is a mobile job
can Not use water at his home (there is a coin op availahle if necesary)

garage access available

no coatings (unless its PBLv2-as I need to get rid of the rest of that bottle anyways)

i will be attempting to not bring a ton of products and the goal here is to set a solid base layer of brand X product which can be topped later with same brand Xs waxes, etc. and I can also order some of same brand Xs detailer ir RW concentrate to provide for the customer as he maintained his black hellcat surprisingly well after my work

so what would you use?

Viking or High Gloss. If you were Ron, both and a couple others. ;)
so you would do Escalate polish or PA finishing polish and then just straight to high gloss?

that sure seems less time consuming than applying master sealant (which I would have probably done via machine)

Sounds like you are looking for a wax deepness, then I would go with a Blackfire sealant base and top it with the Blackice wax. That should deepen and darken the orange color. Some orange cars can look too "sterile" to me.

Brandt, y`all are the experts and I`m just an internet/weekend warrior. However, based on my understanding of products:

If you don`t go the route of escalate with master sealant (topping with gold zirkon or similar), I like the idea of essence and maybe straight to black ice. Essence can be a foundation for a coating later with the benefit of adding protection, and the Black ice or similar (again, from my "internet knowledge") could serve to give the deep wax shine.

No no matter what you end up doing, I`m sure it`s gonna look incredible.

Since you mentioned a light polish I`m assuming you`re not doing a multi-step polish. That said, I might try a polish like Griots Perfecting Cream (I like this alot) assuming the marring is minimal. I haven`t used the PA polishes but would very much like to try their finishing polish, I`m thinking it`s in the same neighborhood as the Griots product. I have used the Perfecting Cream and went straight to Viking Spritz sans coating, 5 months out it still looks great and holding up well on 2 vehicles I see regularly. Viking seems to darken the finish as it has a bit of flake to it. The orange seemed to have flake in the pictures as well. The High Gloss also made light colors deepen a bit when I`ve used it. If you`re motivated and using PA stuff you could always top either of those with Zircon. It will darken the finish for sure.

Anyway, my suggestions are with EZ, PZ in mind. I`m all about simple if I can get away with it.

it`s definitely at the top of my short list, or even nattys black with pws or pwc below

the only thing with using a paste wax is that it`s gonna add to the time that will be involved and since this is mobile, having a spray LSP now seems quite appealing

expert? haha, not this guy. just a shine-aholic.

if I use essence I would most likely top with c2v3 or cure. if I used black ice, i`d want to use TPS below it to have a clean base of the bf tri-polymers

correct, no two step or anything. I mean, I`ll bring a compound if necessary for isolated scratches, etc but I have no desire to do anything more than a simple light one step or AIO pass with a topper (preferably a spray topper for the sake of time-which is another nice benefit as PA makes some of the best sprays available IMO)

CARNAUBA ARTS | ORANGE AMBER POLISHANGEL® USA

I picked this up for my new laguna orange motorcycle

Forgot about all their "tinted" products, now that would be just too smart.

indeed. those are also an option. I have really enjoyed the black tinted one for my car (black wulfenite)

but if I went straight to that after escalate I would only be able to project 2 month durability or so

that would be phenomenal as a maintenance product, however

I plan on ordering all of the color shades one of these days (in the small bottles of course) to be able to offer them for the nice mopar colors I encounter frequently

The tinted options are fantastic, I have a few different colors and they`ve all worked incredibly well

I was gonna order some aqua so I will throw this in there to hit the shipping mark. even if I don`t end up using it on this car, I do have an existing client with a go mango hellcat charger (with csl) and it`s one of those things that`s nice to say you have as an option to go along with your gold plated spray wax or titanium spray, lol - a color shaded spray wax

why not, right? I mean you don`t just buy a hellcat because it is the better looking of the new mopars, lol

my friend bought the blue one for his b5 charger and he loves it- can you imagine the upgrade he feels after using OTC Walmart stuff his whole life :)

My process for this would be more than likely the bftps applied with a med cut pad like b&s maroon euro-tech then removed with a finishing pad and remnants taken off with mf. Then i`ld apply the black ice

I would go with bftps or Hd speed with a medium cut pad then either top with Blackfire black ice or something like Sonax Polymer Net Shield, can coat or TAC Systems moonlight. Haven`t tried moonlight yet but will be ordering soon. Also don`t forget Meguiars Ultimate fast finish. My can of that will be here today.

blackfire TPS actually works into essentially nothing after a few passes - which is another reason I like it a lot, one could even use a spritz of blackfire midnight sun spray wax and then wipe that off and be done

I`ve started to do a few passes leave a little on and then come after with the finishing pad leaves a really nice finish

ok so I`m either doing

Essence + PA spray

or PA Escalate + PA Spray

any votes for which spray?

I do have the orange amber but may end up just giving it to him to use later on if I go with something like high gloss as lsp

job is tomorrow

sadly I can`t use a hose at his house and it`s probably going to be raining otherwise I`d just use Cosmic shampoo and cosmic spritz or high gloss just to give it a go but I stand to make more $ for my DF fund with a 1step polish and lsp
