I`m trying to find a glaze for my Red metal flake paint
On my DD. So here are 2 test spots

My pics don`t show the way CGs White light made the
Paint brighter and the metal flake
come to the forefront, it also left a sealant which
Not only made it slick, it was like looking thru a blurry
layer To see the paint. Plus when applying & removing.
The sealant dried too fast, so that any polish or
abrasive was then draged across the dried sealant
Leaving micro marring. Liked the scent though.

The WGs Finishing Glaze is all that.
It felt like a paint Cleaner as I applied, even squeeked once.worked in Almost clear. Then removed easily.
The paint had a Look of liquid with floating metal flakes.
It was not slick, which made WGs perfect for layering.
If need be.
So CGs WL is an AIO. Med. Level
WGs FG. Is a Glaze on its own level.

Believe that WG Finishing Glaze isn`t a glaze with fillers but rather a light polish only.

Nice review. I like the snow shots, looks foreign to me here in Texas though.

I agree, WG FG has light abrasive properties.

Have you tried white diamond from Poorboys? That`s what I`d reach for. Enhances metallic flake. Also goes great with a top coat of Nattys White or Red

On customers cars I`ll use white diamond but on personal or a higher paid job I`ll use wgfg or maybe even bfgep

A sample of Wgfg is what got me looking for better stuff than what I was getting and using bout 1.5-2 years ago

I don`t consider WGFG or BF GEP in the glaze category- from what I see they are light polishes/glazes

Poorboys polish with sealant (applied via hand) would be more similar to the gloss enhancing polishes like wg and bf (PWS via hand acts like a mild cleaner and glaze when not heated up with the rotation of a pad -at least that`s how I understand it to work)

edit: if I was gonna use black ice or midnight sun, I`d reach for GEP for sure...or WGFG if using WG LSP (although on my car its black hole or white diamond)

Yea, that`s what it said, sure did feel like a light polish. If it`s possible WG is a glaze without filling, didn`t have a sealant look but there was something in the mix,
not just polish, felt almost rubbery and the snow wasn`t sticking.

I have PBs WD on order, so will try next.

BF is very nice, it did darken the paint though. Maybe a test spot with PBs, BF, & WG. My guess is WG will have the best look.

I`m thinking WG glaze has created something that has it own category a Hybrid of sorts.
I have WG sealant on order as well, you are talking product synergy. Gotcha !

Then use wgdgss over that and you`ll be amazed

Lots of products have ingredients that are "abrasives" but that doesn`t always equate to behaving abrasively on autopaint (which can range from hard to soft anyhow).

IME while the BF GEP might contain abrasives, it`s always been fucntionally nonabrasive for me. Does darken and is surprisingly good for use on black-finished bits, even those that are lightly surface-rusted.

Mary B- I don`t know if you intended it to come across this way, but from what you posted I`d never put that CG WL on *anything*, so I appreciate your review.
 
WG Finishing Glaze better be nothing more than a final polish...it`s what WG recommends prior to Uber Ceramic application, after wiping down with Paint Prep. They tout it as a pure polish, akin to Menzerna 3500.

AG mentions on their Menz 3500 product page:

"If you`re looking for a 16 oz. size of this polish, try Wolfgang Finishing Glaze 3.0! It has the same polishing power and flawless results, in a larger size."

Who really knows with all this stuff...guess in the end how you like it is all that matters!

That`s some good info on BF GEP Thanks. Like I said about CG WL- Liked the scent :unsure:

You may have just explained the feeling the finish WGFG had, kinda rubbery. Might be bonding agents, or for proper hardening of LSP or Coat.
For sure trying WG sealant as LSP now. Thanks
