Paint Coating Booster Suggestions

Just guessing here, but if you doing it in garage 40-50 degrees, just apply it, remove excess and leave it for a while, should be fine.
FWIW: Just used PA High Gloss after quick once over with PB Spray and Wipe. Garage temp probably around 41, outside mid-30`s. Don`t think it likes to lay flat at that temp...kinda left paint looking like it has more orange peel. Glossy as all get out but a little less clarity/smoothness. Can`t really feel it and surface not left with any residue...clean and slick.

Prior applications in warmer weather (50 and above) did not have that effect.

Interested to see how this plays out going forward; not supposed to get above 45 anytime soon.
Thanks for all the great suggestions everyone. A lot of great info.

Should have asked this earlier with winter coming to CT soon. Has anyone used their preferred booster in less than ideal temperatures? When I`m doing a rinseless or waterless wash during the winter, the temps in my garage can vary anywhere between 40 and 50 degrees. When I was using a sealant I loved using Meguiars D156 X-press Spray Wax. That worked no matter what the temps.

Thanks for the info. Was considering one of the Polish Angel products, but I`ll hold off till spring after reading your results.

Yeah, definitely did not like the cold; going forward, nothing below 50 degrees for me with these booster products. The PA High Gloss is a real hoot when temperatures allow, sure makes a difference. If anything, pretty good proof that it does leave a layer on the car as it left a texture of something easily visible because it did not lay flat. It`s, uh, kinda like it `turtled` when it`s cold; George Costanza could relate.

We are actually working on an SiO2 based booster as well, only this particular one will be used on dry paint.

Who is we?

I think these coating `boosters` not only increase longevity and looks but it gives coated car owners something to do besides wash and dry. Tough to just wash a car and then not do *something* else to it...kinda left me lost and wandering around mumbling until I founds stuff like Kamikaze Overcoat, Gyeon Cure and Polish Angel spritzes to fill the need for more.

Exactly! I`m lost after I do a wash now. "Something" describes it perfectly.

Have you used Gyeon Cure in less than ideal temps?

Thanks again for the info.

We = The Gloss Shop. The intent of our booster is to restore slick to the touch feel and increase gloss.

Never used Gyeon Cure or Overcoat in low temps; after the PA results, I`m gonna kinda stick with the `not below 50 degrees` thing. Although I think Nanolex WashCoat can be used down to 37 degrees or so they say, may try that in colder temps this winter but like Hydro2 or Gyeon Wetcoat, whole different kinda thing.
