For you Griot`s fans. Information courtesy of detailed image.

Griot`s Garage with a few awesome announcements here at SEMA 2016! The first is the BOSS AIR Micro Rotary Polisher. This polisher is extremely well built and feels great in your hands. We have had some requests for a smaller unit from Griot’s to help you reach those tight areas and it looks like Griot’s really hit the mark with this tool. 2″ and a 3″ backing plate, air drive, 3 cfm air consumption, this unit is a beast! Check out the technical bulletin directly from Griot’s below for more information.

The BOSS AIR Micro Rotary Polisher was not the only release, Griot’s also shared with us the Best of Show Detailer, 6″ Surface Prep Pad, 3″ HD Orbital Backing Plate, Brilliant Finish Synthetic Clay, Fabric Protectant, and the Black Shine High Gloss Tire Gel. All of these seem really interesting, especially the Best of Show Detailer and the 6″ Surface Prep Pad. Check out the bulletins below for a complete breakdown on each of these new exciting products below!

It`s great that Griots is giving us more choices, which should push the market to lower prices, but where are the new and innovative products? I`ve already got something from another manufacturer that does the same thing as their new products.

I have to agree and almost said something along the same lines. I`d rather see innovation vs imitation of existing products...

"Diamond clay/polymer matrix" has me, uhm...scratching my head (not my paint ;) ).

Interesting that the Iron & Fallout Remover can "dissolve iron" while being nonacidic. Wonder how safe it is on aluminum.

3 CFM is very low air consumption! For reference my Rupes TA50 uses 11.7 CFM!

I`d like to try out the Iron Remover. In talking with Jeff about it, it sounds like they did a great job of masking the nasty smell associated with all similar products.

You know, I said the same thing when they came out with the BOSS system. I thought "Why are they just now coming out with new and improved paint correction products and machines?"

I was proven very wrong - Fast Correcting Cream is the best compound I`ve ever used, and it`s not particularly close. I also reach for my G21 over my MK2 Rupes most of the time as well. Bottom line is I`m okay with them coming out with products we already have if they offer the same marked improvement that I saw with the last round of new stuff.

They managed to earn my business back and then some after I tried a few of their products a long time ago and hated every single one of them vs. stuff from Megs and other companies.

... They managed to earn my business ....

Innovation is great and all, but I don`t mind improved products so as long as it`s a pretty darn good improvement.

Aside from the GG6 and GG3, they didn`t really have my business before. After trying the Correcting Creme, then the Perfecting Creme, I went and ordered one of each. I really enjoyed working with those products. I had good results even with a GG3 ! !

By this logic Ford should never make another model because Chevy already has a similar product.

Now I do not remember you mentioning when OPT came out with "FerreX" that they were redundant in that offering.................wonder why that is?. Unlike the post made that I quoted I HAVE used the Iron remover product and tested it on multiple vehicles with two having quite a bit of fallout and two cars that were brand new.

On the vehicles that were bad this product removed the particulate really well(Utilized with the Ergo wave scrubber) which did not mar the surface but on a soft Jet Black finish I would not expect that performance. It left the finish tacky and very clean and when I went over the finish with clay afterward there was not much the clay picked up.

There is no bleeding with this product like the other iron removers products guys might have used.

As mentioned by Chad the smell from the product is better than other products like it(Sorta of a fruit/pineapple fragrance) but I liked that the product is safe for clearfilm like Gyeon Iron. As for the other products released @ SEMA I have not tried them so no opinion on them.

I didn`t read rlmccarty2000`s post as implying that Griot`s Garage should never make another product because other brands have similar products. I just read it as him wondering where new and innovative products are.

I don`t remember him mentioning when any other brand came out with any other product, that the offering was redundant. Maybe this was his first time? I don`t see anything wrong with his post. Members are allowed to freely express their thoughts here....as long as they don`t break any rules.

I`m not sure why why you assume he hasn`t used this new Iron Remover product? Maybe he has?

Thanks for the insight! I`d love to see a review.

1. It was a dig @ Griot`s let`s not pretend otherwise
2. He did not mention ferreX because there is no bias against OPT like he has towards Griot`s
3. I know he hasn`t used the Griot`s iron remover because it was tested by certain people(Present company included) and not released until today @ SEMA
4. My insight was a review, but as more guys will try the product either by my recommendation or curiosity(Makes no difference) then as you mentioned there will be forthcoming reviews........and you are welcome Vega.

My post was just a comment that I don`t see any innovation from Griots. I have not used their iron/fallout remover, but what does it do better than McKees, Iron-X, Britemax, Gyeon, et al? Then I see what CarPro brings out, that`s innovation, new products that do new things for detailers. I`m not a Griots hater or a hater of ANY manufacturer, I just like to see new and exciting products. If Griots lowers the overall price of fallout removers that`s great, but if it does the same thing for the same price who cares?

When the Police arrest someone.................. contained in their Miranda rights is the statement "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be used against you in the court of law". Court of public opinion is in play here so...................

The thread "Boss so here it is" last year has your posts of #24 & # 39 right out of the gate showing bias then and this thread showing bias now. You mention four product companies in the quote above and I cannot find ANYwhere you mentioning a disparaging comment that those companies when they released their iron removing product which by your own admission you do not use iron removing products so the question is if Griot`s chooses to bring out their versions of like performing products this get`s you worked up why?.

I had to chuckle at all the naysayer comments on the Boss thread as the machine and liquids have proven themselves in spades and not one of you who knocked the products ever said boo later on....................... Griot`s people cannot come onto a thread like this and defend themselves from silliness and frankly dishonest bias as they will lose, but I can and I will when I see this kind of stuff.

I directed my comments to you because I remembered you taking petty shots before and now.
