Meguiar`s Wash + .... I can already see all the $20 "Detailers" using this and telling customers they are doing paint correction on their cars....goodness.

I asked Nick about the application process for Ultimate Fast Finish. Here is his response

Great questions and thanks for bringing up, because as the name implies, the application is fast! So how is it applied? This product is applied by spraying a small amount directly onto a microfiber towel, then spread product over a section of the vehicle, i.e half the hood. Flip to the dry side of your towel for final wipe and you are done. The product does not need to dry on the paint.

Yikes, that Wash Plus sounds scary...would you bet your life it`s OK for, say....BMW Jet Black?

I asked about softer paints and this is the response. Doesn`t sound all that scary. Well it is Halloween.

This was tested & designed on a wide variety of paints. With that said we of course cannot test for ever paint and situation. Since this product is best applied directly to the wash mitt, one of our Tips is to rinse the wash mitt with a blast from the hose to flush out dirt & contaminants, then re-apply the product.

Heh heh, still about as scary as a wash product can get IMO. Hope that works for somebody...heh heh, maybe the sort of person who needs advised to rinse out a dirty/contaminated mitt. Eh, gee sorry, that sounds awfully snarky :o But I guess Autopians aren`t in the target demographic for that stuff.

Meguiar`s sometimes uses words in, uhm...inventive ways, but it sounds like it contains abrasives. Press a mitt treated with an abrasive product against a dirty surface and apply pressure? I can`t help but think, sarcastically/rhetorically, "what could possibly go wrong?"

I dropped my phone when I read about that product! It truly did give me a fright on a most appropriate day!

Wish Megs would bring back Detailer Line Waterless Wash/Cleaner D114  (Yes, I am the same Autopian who suggested a write-in campaign to petition Megs about continuing its production and sale of this product, since so many of you have lamented about its discontinuance for whatever reason. Kind of like the Pontiac Fiero GT in 1988 with the V6 and suspension upgrades, then GM kills its production due to changing markets demands (IE, did not make enough of a profit from sales volume to warrant continuance of production)

That may be because the younger generation tends to have a shorter attention span.

After watching Mazda`s car commercial with the young girl singing to music like she`s on "American Idol" and then explaining that very point as the Mazda 6 car automatically applies the Collision Avoidance Brake System, I understand this marketing technique/methodology/application for the younger generation. Great technology to make us feel safer, but dumbing down the human response to defensive driving judgment and self-preservation that requires human thought engagement (IE attention span and awareness of your surrounding environment) OK, get off the soap box and back Meg`s new product announcements of 2017...................
