I have a 3500 ram and a lariat jeep, I feel ya, but when we talk about American muscle, Vette or bust.

Can you PM me a shot of the sticker?
I`m a truck guy and never got myself a fast car.
I can`t find anything i like in NJ. Just curious what it costs for one that everyone doesn`t have.
I also just remembered. ..
A friend of mine had 3 LED coconut palm trees around his pool.
1 Red, 2 Green
I`de love to see you post a merlin shot with one of those.
Who needs a real one. ..lol

I wasnt there in person today. Ive been working on this white hellcat since i got off work. I had those pics sent to me via email and text.

as far as the palm...if i buy a new car that will be sidelined for a while

Im working on another option, but its a surprise; )

and the sticker youd see is nothing that id pay. We have a dealership that hooks our club up quite well

He took 4k off due to my club affiliation and came up 3k more than another place on my trade

I only have a handful of Mopar colors left to detail, and then I can complete the Mopar Rainbow

That 8spd really checks the boxes, especially over that 5spd. If I remember correctly, the Chrysler Torqueflite 8spd starts out life as a ZF8spd, Chrysler adding their bits and bobs to call it a Torquelfite. Let me tell you what, that ZF 8spd is one heck of a gem, one of the best transmissions I`ve ever driven, right behind Porsche`s second gen PDK. BMW makes a fantastic use out of it in everything from the 2 series up to the X6M, I`ve driven the unit in 3er, 5er, 7er, X3er, X5er; I am really at a loss of words when it comes to describing it, it`s just that good. However, it does have one downfall, that is the tune of the TCM. Lexus is incredibly focused on the longevity and smoothness of the transmission, thus slowing shift times particularly in the IS/GS350`s, however in the BMW`s this is the unit to get, and when tuned....... Oh my gosh.

More so, there is a company that offers a transmission upgrade for Toyota`s 2jz`s, my Lexus GS300 has a 2jz, and the form of the transmission upgrade is Getrag`s 7spd DCT, found in the majority of BMW`s M cars (M3 through M6), in conjunction to running a Syvecs Ecu with custom tune. (Syvecs is even able to control the DCT in an actual BMW M car, super complicated because of the plethora of modules, but it works well with all factory drivability and adjustability) Whilst this sounds so amazing, and if I keep my Lex for another 145K (I`m sure I will) this a modification that I will do, no doubt.

BUT!! with all that being said^^, deep down inside of me, I REALLY REALLY REALLY wish that ZF8spd was compatible with a 2jz or S54. I know that I have written an entire paper on it, you will not be disappointed with that 8spd gear box.

Audi uses R-Tronic, I believe this is a specific VWAG product, also shared with the Hurcan. However when talking about the 7spd Getrag DCT, it can also be found in 458`s and I assume 488`s, dare I say the F12 (FRONT RWD) and its variants. Architecturally the 7spd varies from BMW (FRONT RWD) to Ferrari 4XX`s (MID RWD), but the main shafts, gearing, and clutches are similar, if I am remembering right (there could be more). As of right now, I am unaware of any mid engined vehicle running a variant of ZF`s 8spd, as it is an automatic and the 7spd Getrag already exists and is killer. (GM`s 8spd auto in the Corvette is GM proprietary and in the form of a transaxle and then traditionally for RWD/4X4 trucks and SUV`s). In factory form, I`ve heard a few current gen Challengers and Chargers ripping through gears (modded exhausts), gear shifts sound close to F3x 335i and E70 X5 X50i (Twin Power Turbo V8), which is good news because the shifts are pretty crisp and quick, not Lexus-like at all, but not lightning like a well tuned DCT (remember that we are starting to compare extremely small increments of shift time difference). I say drive a Mopar with the 8spd, radio-off, windows down, varied take offs and roll on`s, vehicle settings, manual shift vs. automatic shift, etc. The difference in transmissions alone is crazy, it may beg the question of why Chrysler stepped up to the 6.4 from the 6.1 besides the obvious. These boxes are just that good in comparison to older automatics. Remember when comparing, the 8spds are still torque converted automatics, albeit extremely good, when comparing don`t think anything about any dual clutch unit because you could misalign your expectations.

I`m sorry that I maybe talking you `in to this` instead of out, but the majority of people don`t realize the technological leaps and bounds that have created these current generations of automatic gearboxes.

Hey bro check out the velocity channel. On `````n rides they added a shaker to a factory challenger srt that came out amazing. Just saying. Pay that puppy off, fixer up be happy and no payments monthly at some point. Bank the $ retire early. Move to Florida and go to cAr shows all day. You can always spend it later right?

Sorry. Spoke like a true old guy. Not that old.

512Detail- I`d be choosing between:

a) pay off what you currently have and keep it forever if you really like it

b) getting something that hasn`t been wrecked/painted if you really like it better than your current one

but that`s just me. I *HATE* (avoidable) debt but OTOH I like the idea of "starting fresh" with an undamaged version of something you like while they`re still making them. While I actually prefer the hood on your current car for some reason, that Blue does look nice to me.

I`d do an extended testdrive and see if you`d really like *driving* the new one better. IME it`s often easy to love the *idea* of owning a certain vehicle a lot more than you end up loving the actual experience.
