Whatever "magic" they used, it was their Gloss-o-Meter that must have said they have "increased image quality"... :)

Whatever they did to it, it`s durable as all heck. Stopped in there a few weeks ago and got a bit of a tour; the red Vette was sitting there looking absolutely pristine. Thing was, it had been at a Mid-Ohio track day the previous weekend and had yet to be cleaned up. Looked to me like it had just been detailed; didn`t start crawling around it or under it but the wheels/finish/glass looked flawless despite just having had some track time. Whatever they had everything coated in was certainly doing its job. Can`t remember if was Kamikaze, Gyeon MOHS+ or something else...

Meh

People need to use their eyes. It`s like buying audiophile equipment cuz of great specs, but ya can`t hear the difference.
So true you have to train your hearing to hear the difference like what audiophiles and professionals in the speaker industry do to hear the difference and keep on improving the sound even though most people can`t tell the difference its all in the details. Same goes with detailing you need to train your eyes to spot the defects as many people see a washed car and think the car is perfect but fail to see the spider webbing, swirls etc etc.

Pretty much any vehicle that is freshly coated correctly with a good, proven, coating is not going to get dirty for a long time..

I drove my freshly coated (with Optimum Opti-Guard) 3,000 miles one way in the winter, from the Pacific Northwest through the entire states of Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, New Mexico, and 750 miles into Texas, and the car looked brand new when I got there...

Nothing stuck to it, very few bugs and not even a visible layer of dirt... :)

If Todd worked on that Z06 I am sure it`s spectacular. I have been following the car on FB and the mods were pretty impressive.

DAN! How much is Optimum paying you for that wonderful endorsement of the product?!?!?! :o

The car really looks great, saw the video before this thread. I love the work that they do. I was really interested in purchasing thier kamikazi coating, was`nt sure which one. Anyone had any experience or opinion on any of thier products? I`d like to know before i purchase.

Mi Hermano ! You so Funny !!! :)

Are you kidding ??? I can`t even afford to be a Certified Optimum Installer anymore.. They jacked their pricing way, way, up there to be one of their Installers..

No thanks... I can still do the work using what is available and what is available from friends, etc...

If they pay Anyone (instead of Jacking Everyone with high prices) to endorse their products for them - it is NOT me... :)

If I had a big multiple bay shop with a zillion Clients rolling in and out constantly that wanted a good coating, well then maybe I could justify getting price-gouged to have that certification again... But not now, not here in the outer limits of Farmland, California...

The fact does remain though - their coatings - the Pro and the old 2.0 coatings - really do work very well, and last for a long time without any monkeying around, spraying this, layering that, breathing on this, using that, etc... :) Just wash it with Carpro Reset and it is very clean, glossy, and good to go..

No one even washes their cars out here... :( Yeah, I know... depressing...

As much as I like the sentiment of this idea, the price is just too steep. For the difference in a brand new Corvette and this one, you could buy my daily beater, my weekend car, and my girlfriend`s car. For the DIFFERENCE. I just don`t see it. It`s not an important car, nor a genuine exotic.

MIYABI COAT offers a harder, and more brilliant shine than ISM COAT (ISM has a more wax-like gloss), and is extremely easy to apply and remove. Durability for proper application is expected at 18-24 months.

That said (taken from their website) have seen some that do Miyabi layer then ISM layer. Expensive but likely pretty durable. FWIW, the Kamikaze Overcoat is an amazing coating `booster` for any ceramic/quartz coating. Great stuff.

Thanks Budget.

We sell a ton of the Kamakaze products, stupid easy and lives up to the claims! Just do not use anything with wax in it ! Kamakaze hates wax.
