"It has been under a car cover" - Caution Graphic Content Inside, Pic Heavy
I received a message and then a text about a red vw convertible bug the owner said "it has been under a cover..."
She then proceeded to tell me that a cat had gotten under the cover and also her window was down on the passenger side and they just now got that fixed.
She admitted it was not a pretty sight and after delivery she told me that she had considered getting it towed to a detail shop, lol.
she works nearby so I drove by to look at the car at 1230p. I saw something out of some horror story and after I quoted her what I felt my afternoon was worth. She agreed and said that was more than fair and I just couldn`t resist taking the job so I drove the sad red bug back to my house.
Side note: i made a quick call to ACC on the drive back, lol
I ended up going a different route...more on that coming up.
Here is what I had at 1pm
Nice, huh?
How could you turn this sad car down?
It deserved to be brought back to something resembling autopia standards.
Oh and then there was this...
ha
Decided to sacrifice a $5 pair of worn out gloves from lowes. Also had a bright idea of trying my Air Force 4hp blaster and just agitating the hair with fingers inside the gloves.
about 45 minutes later
Absolutely nothing but that blaster and agitating the surface lightly with my hand. I was afraid to scratch it with anything else and if you notice. ..someone else already did.
She said she took it somewhere a few years ago (literally the same place that caused me to decide to start my business several years ago) and she said they must have used a steel brush or something, lol.
Lint roller got the rest.
I never wet it...there was a seal that looked quite etchy. I didn`t trust it.
i then did the wheels

oh wait, perhaps you were curious how prestine the interior was given the exterior state...
Well you`re in luck, because remember how that window was "down" and they just recently got it fixed. Well, indeed was it down, lol. I think a cat/cats was/were living inside the car as well as some insects.
Well this was a first for me...
There were three different sets of those on the drivers side door sill or under the door itself.
Hmm
Gross
I put on a mask and said a little detailers prayer
Armed with my steamer snd some interior micros, i went to town on the interior
Took about an hour and a half, maybe more
Steamed thoroughly...EVERYTHING
Megs D line QID on everything
P808 on red painted areas inside that i also steamed.
Poorboy`s on glass interior and exterior just to be safe.
