Review: McKee`s 37 Turbo Car Dryer - Comparison With Master Blaster And Sidekick

Very cool review, this should really help people make a decision if they have neither one of those,especially with the videos of each one in action. I agree with you about the cord, I`m pretty sure the crowd spending this kind of money for a blower will have a power cord available pretty much every time. This is one of the reasons I put mine aside(the DP) , I got tired of rolling up that cord after each use and untangling it from my other cords on the floor(i roll my cables neatly,so it takes me a bit longer); I just grab my sidekick without even using a strap and it`s ready to go right away. Plus I paid significantly less than the typical going price and it fits in my car without a thought ,so it was a no brainer for me.
 
It goes without saying what I think of your recent reviews. They just don`t get better than what you`ve been putting up. I too like my DP, mine`s the old one and I had to make the mods myself to keep the hose on and used a weed wacker strap for my shoulder. This said, it works quite well. Even if the user doesn`t dry the entire car with it, I feel the unit is invaluable for wheels, brakes and suspension, mirrors, door jambs etc. I`m glad I have one. Thanks for the review.
 
Amazing and stellar review. I have both the MB and DP dryer. I agree with your findings 100%. I find myself reaching for the DP dryer more and more as it`s less hassle and easier to move around.

I had the DP version and I now have a Master Blaster (as well as a Sidekick). I really did not like the DP dryer. It was awkward and I always felt like I was going to bump it into the car. It also didn`t help that the motor burned out the first time I used it. The Master Blaster in it`s original form with the very stiff 30 foot hose also has problems (I already had a 20amp circuit, so that wasn`t a problem). However, I replaced the 30 foot hose on the Master Blaster with a much lighter and more flexible 50 foot hose. Then I added a wireless remote control to the outlet that it is connected to and strapped the remote to the end of the hose itself. Those two fixes were a total game changer. I love using it now! In fact, it`s one of my favorite tools right now. Before the upgrades, I will say that I was less than impressed.

I don`t even have the 30 foot hose and refuse to buy it because their price ($75) is ridiculous! I wish the revolution was available when I bought my MB.

Which 50 foot hose and are talking about?

If you thought $75 was ridiculous then you won`t want the 50 foot one I bought. By the time I bought it, paid the shipping, and a small fee for the small purchase order, it was about $150. It`s not a perfect fit to the Master Blaster. It will clamp directly onto the Master Blaster unit since it can take up to 275 degrees. However, the spiral in the hose is in the opposite direction as the original hose, so I just twisted the tool end on as good as possible and used some wide electric tape to hold it together. I also just taped the remote control on. The buttons had enough travel to them that I could completely encased the remote in the tape that held it on. It makes the whole thing a nice self contained unit. Honestly, even though it was really expensive, it was so worth it.
