147k miles, not sure what year
Very swirled, rids, bad touch up jobs-i mean BAD, tar, sap, dirt specs in the paint from sand blasting the liner in the bed, etc...you name it this truck probably had it.

I had advised him on initial inspection last week that the paint might not be safe to polish. Well it wasn`t, for me at least. After decon, hood readings indicated between 65-72 and highest reading i could find was 93 on top of a pillars. I recalibrated and did my truck and car, still the same as before and did this truck and yep still very low. I don`t know what the borderline is, i heard ot was 80 or so but I wasn`t going to take any chances.

I called him and advised I was enacting plan b- machine glaze and paint sealant.

Poorboy`s Black Hole Glaze via Rupes duetto on red hydrotech pad

Poorboy`s EX via Buff and Shine Tapered wax applicator pad

Poorboy`s PWS via Rupes Mini on tangerine hydrotech pad on glass
Same on exterior chrome and some via hand with hydrotech tangerine hand applicator pad

DP AIO Headlight polish on (well I bet you can guess) via Rupes Nano and blue pad. Sealed with Prima Hydro Max.

Bold n bright on plastic trim

All in all I`d say this truck was a dramatic improvement and even though I still charged more than I used to, I think I still am leaving solid $ on the table. Anyways, this was a really fun project and I still can`t get over how good all the chrome turned out, especially the wheels.

any suggestions on tires that are just OLD and DRY ?

the bold n bright x2 barely brought them back

I`m guessing a third coat would have been nice but im wondering if the cleaners in BnB cause the additional coats to be less effective

Nice job Brandt ...

did you just spray them and walk away? I would have done that a couple times and then even it out after it dries ...

Pockets told me a while ago to use a brush to apply. That`s how I get a very wet Look.
I`ve recently been spraying a 50/50 mix a few times. (I mixed it for wheel wells)
But nothing like the brush application.

I got 3 degress on a full ride academic scholarship- my only college debt is parked in this parking lot at work (my SRT)

FSU accepted my PhD application again this year..but I`m still enjoying Texas too much

How many times did you clean the tires? Sometimes I have to do as many as 4 or more sessions of spray-agitate/scrub-rinse for each tire if they are beat. Sometimes APC doesn`t give me results I`m really happy with ,so I have a bottle of spray on rubber cleaner that I use for those cases.

The tires on the Nissan my GF has did not clean well with APC alone, so the dressing was not really performing well on them. I switched to cleaning with rubber cleaner and now the dressing stays on there nicely . It`s weird because my beater back up car has dried cracked tires, and 4 passes with APC cleaning did the trick.

I used apc 2 times. 2nd time it was white so I figured it was clean enough

tell them they get Cadillac pricing for the Escalade not Ford pricing :)

512, hope you have a gallon of Black Hole. You seem to use it often!

Funny thing, I`m going to be doing a similar combo on my `96 Cherokee. But, White Diamond and EX-P.

Nice outcome, btw
