Review The Rag Companys Pluffle towel

I picked up a few of these towel cause they caught my eye of being "hybrid towel". It's half plush / half waffle weave, great for drying. 70/30 blend with 400 GSM korean towel.

This is my new favorite drying towel. Insane absorption and towel is thin enough to wring out easily. Normally I blow dry my vehicle and go back with a small towel to spot dry with a drying aid. Most towels I have used ended up streaking or have to be damp first to use. This eliminates both of those and saves time and effort.
In the video, I just rinsed off my hood and sprayed it down with IPA to strip any oils. I did not have to dampen the towel or anything, I just went right to work and started wiping. Gave a nice streak free surface.

Pros
Did not have to damp first to use
Streak free
Thin towel and easy to wring out
Absorbs crazy amount of water
Cons
only thing I seen was it was a little grabby at times when it soaked up all the liquid and had no lubrication to glide across the surface. but it is a drying towel... right? i think if i dampen the towel it may not be so grabby

I received my order last night, and was left wondering about the peculiar nap. Feels soft, but odd. Not quite Eagle Edgeless, and not quite Dry Me A River, either. Reminds me of a well-worn plush rabbit that was in the family for 30 years. Not that I have such a plush animal toy dealio. Cuz I don't. For real.

Nice. The pluffle peaked my interest a while back when it first came out but this is the first time I've "seen" one in action. I may just have to get a few now. Thanks!

now that you say that.... it does kind of remind me of a lucky rabbit foot keychain fur. lol

I got mine few weeks ago but have not used yet. We had 2 nice Sundays but I would rather go fishing.

Edit: half the reson I bought them is so I can say Pluffle while I use them or ask wife to wash them. Have you seen my Pluffle, where is my Pluffle, did you wash my Pluffle, hand me a Pluffle. Its just fun!

I was lucky enough to receive a few of these on Christmas (thanks aceone :) ) and I like them a lot too. I've been using them for waterless washes.

I thought this was supposed to be a drying towel.....

At least I ain't the only one that doesn't read instructions....

The wife Loves the Cobra Guzzler 20X40 towels for drying her hair or wrapping it to keep it dry if she just taking quick freshen up shower, She stole 4 of mine. Thinking getting 2 pluffle 20x40 for her to try.

Reading instructions or asking directions just is not part of the male thinking. We can fix/or build and find anything. Unless it is under our nose.;) I do have a few of those towels but I still prefer the Avalanche especially when doing rinseless washes as the fibers are more plush and I feel there is less of a chance of any marring.

I just ordered 4 of the 20x40 last night thanks to their 20% sale. They will be strictly for drying of course.

Already have 20 of these from Autopia for rinseless.

I know I`m lagging behind but I just got a 16x24 today. What am I to do with it. I`m sooo confused !!
Like a plush towel and a low pile waffle weaved together. It`s a Rinseless, removal, buffing, dryer towel ??
And I can`t find the shower video :yikes:

Ordered some of these today. I think I got five 24" & a 40".

Look like they would be good for QDs.
