Holycrap, what a ride

I could see you on the 2nd site. Now where are the ones where the rear end is all sideways? Oh yeah, forgot, magnetic ride control. ;)

so are you telling us you got lost? lol kidding

Sort of......... I was using android auto and no signal for a while......

Funny you mention that.. I did one way in tour mode, since any sharp/quick moves could prove problematic. I did the way back in sport mode. The return trip seemed easier and more "rhythmic" and that was the more difficult way. But sport mode was perfect.

That guy must make a fortune selling prints. Looks like a lot of fun. The Vettes seem to out number everything else by a large margin. That trip would be worth suction cupping 2-3 GoPro`s on your Z06. Especially the cockpit cam showing all the facial expressions (perma-grin):)

I bought a dash cam for the trip, then ordered a different one that also would add all the car data. I cancelled the order for that one 2 days before leaving since it hadn`t been shipped (via amazon prime even though it was a prime item). The of course I forgot to bring the original one. As far as a cockpit cam, uuummmm No! People would laugh at the "oh crap" expressions. I really dunno if I smiled till at the end in each direction.

Ron did you keep that guys number who cleaned the black vette? I bet your white one needs some TLC now :D

Oh, it needs it bad. IMHO too bad waterless or rinseless which is all I brought with me. So I guess it waits till I get home.

Thanks Tony. It was fun, and a "must do". Hmmmm ag has an annual trek... Interesting.

I know that Roger (Klasse Act) and Monica (DetailKitty) went a couple times at least. Considering he`s all they way up by Chicagoland and she`s in PA that`s a drive FO-SHO! ;)

My new ride that`ll be here (scheduled for July 6th) isn`t exactly built for that road, but might be fun none-the-less. Got a 4WD Silverado LTZ in siren red tint coat, mac-daddy loaded, heated/cooled leather, lane keep assist, about 7K in dealer installed options.... that puppy is even rolling on 22" chrome wheels. ;) Hmmmm wonder if that lane keep assist would work AT ALL on the Dragon? Like NOOOOOOOO! LOL It`s actually a cool feature, tried it on a 2 hour test drive. Actually keeps you on the road, on a 2-lane road even. (Although the folks coming at you AND behind you think you`re drunk outta` ya MIND!) Heheheeeheheeeee

First time it`ll just give you a light (and do a correction). Next time the seat will vibrate on whichever side is going the wrong way, then the wheel will start to turn to correct it. Then the seat will vibrate on the other side... wheel correction follows. Get too close to something in front and the front of the seat vibrates. Next thing I know CarMomma is gonna start getting close to stuff all the time on all sides.... just to see if the seat is working.

I wanted a 2WD, whilst CarMomma said we `needed` a 4WD. She said I "wasn`t looking far enough ahead". I was like huh? So she says: "You need a 4WD truck to pull that bass boat you`ve always wanted, right?" To which my reply of course was "Well yes dear... you are ABSOLUTELY correct, yes I ----DO---- need a four wheel drive truck to pull that bass boat, thank you for looking out for me." :D

Now 12 days and counting. (Never mind I told the dealership DO NOT wash it. Do NOT take the plastic off. DO NOT even look at it till I`m there!) :D Which means a solid week of `prep` once it comes home before I`ll be road ready.

That`s pretty cool. Is there some guy standing there taking photos? Or is it all automated and a series of cameras snap the photos whenever someone drives by?

They hang out in a pop up tent on the side. Most near real hairy curves.

I believe there are several (never been myself) on the dragon. Killboy is the famous one for Deals Gap, and there`s another one that sits on Mulholland Highway but I can`t recall who. He has a lot of videos of wrecks at one particular section of road on YouTube you may have seen, mostly motorcycle.

There were 2 on the dragon

Well, guess that gave you the go ahead for the boat too :D

Yep.... that`s the way I interpreted it! :D

"Yes dear, I don`t know what I`d do without you looking out for me like that. You`re absolutely right, I`ll start looking for that bass boat right away." :P

In all seriousness, I`m not interested AT ALL in one of those silly 75MPH, $75 grand monsters with a 300 hanging off the back. I`ll take a 150~200 and settle down in the 50`s MPH range just fine. Which imho is waaaaaaay too fast on the lake for one`s on good. ;)

Yep, Killboy is the one that I think of most often. Was surprised actually to see 129 mentioned.

Hey Ron....

I too was looking for those "rear hanging out" shots. Went all the way through that day and noticed you never came back by.
Might look at Killboy for your shots too, betcha` he has them. ;) (I`ve seen some naaaaasssss-teeeeee stuff on his site through the years.)

It must`ve been big fun in a Vette. I`ve done that ride on a Ninja 600 back in `88 or `89 and again on a Hayabusa in `08.
