They washed my freakin car !!!!!

:wall

Can`t win at the dealership, they always make sure of that. What`s funny is the service writers look at you like you`re insane for trying to prevent them from performing a "service" for your car. They`ve really forced us to go above and beyond to try and safeguard against a simple wash, tags everywhere. Your car is a magnet as well, those guys in the wash will go out of their way to grab it to spend some time with it. I`m looking forward to seeing your full detail with it!

sorry to hear that ron, but really, you only told them four times... :bubba
we need to get some autopia "do not wash" rear view mirror hang tags again

I left the old tag and signs in the other car.

Whoever bought it is gonna think the owner was nutso

Sorry to hear that Ron.

Crazy that they didn`t listen to your request. Same thing happened to me when I last brought my car in for service... Told them not to wash the car but they still washed it...

Seems like there`s not much swirls instilled to your paint. It`s just crazy they put those rubber marks. I wonder what in the world they rubbed..

I would think you`re normal. Hopefully the damage isn`t too bad. This is how I took my last car in for service. I also make sure they write "DO NOT WASH" on the repair order.

I`m cringing when i eventually take my wife`s Edge for a Ford gas tank recall.
I don`t think my dealer will wash the car but I always write on the drop off envelope where I left the car. They may not find it where I put it.
Then I write... PARK THIS VEHICLE FAR AWAY FROM ALL OTHER VEHICLES when work is done.
They usually put repaired vehicles right where people are coming and going park.
Guess I`ll add the DO NOT WASH too.

Ron, I am sorry to hear this. I would have more than likely gone basilisk. Glad you were able to handle it better.

man they didn`t just wash it..they marked it for you

guess the three amigos might have to get together sooner now

sorry Ron

Oh fer....

Sorry to read about that. If it`s "nutso", I`m guilty of it, too. Our dealership (BMW) is atrocious. Their wash guy is terrible, to the extent that I ask them to sign a guarantee that they wouldn`t do the PDI prep on the paint when any of our cars initially arrive at their establishment. They are fine with it - our Sales Advisor is all too willing to acknowledge that they are deficient in that area - the problem is, they say (and I can sort of understand that), is that the vast majority of buyers wouldn`t even notice, and wouldn`t demand that level of perfection, so to hire someone that can actually detail a car, wouldn`t be worth it to them. Tragic. The number of brand new high-end BMWs I have seen in the showroom with big red bows, ready for delivery, and yet with myriad defects all over them, is alarming.

Hope the correction process is an easy one for ya, Ron. Good luck.

BMW dealer I used in CT was like that too. They all knew, just take the crap off the windows so I could see to take em home. One guy there made the mistake at one of my service appts and washed my JB 530, in winter time.... There is an old thread here called something like "It`s a cover up" that deals wit that one.

that sucks...aren`t bmw`s clear coats much harder too? so essentially they had to be REALLY bad to jack them up like so

BMW Jet Black is the softest thing known to mankind, the rest of the colors are hard as diamonds. If you can get a jb bmw perfect, you are GOOD !
