CarPro HydroFoam

package says 1:9 but I was wondering what others have used

I think I have heard 1:6 before

I have two bottles and wanted to go ahead and make like a 1/2 gallon or so RTU in an empty water container and rebottle into 32 ounce bottles with a foam trigger sprayer on them

I like having things in RTU form.

does making it RTU affect the shelf life any?

*this would not be used as maintenance for anything but as a wash+seal step on well maintained vehicles (I will be giving some out to my club via a raffle to raise money for a charity event)

I use it 1:9 in a spray bottle; but I suspect you can use it significantly more dilute.

The fact that they recommend "1:9" as a blanket recommendation makes me wonder...

Use it 1:9 in a spray bottle - that`s the ratio that hits the panel.

Use it 1:9 in a 32oz bottle of foam cannon, you are getting the 1:9 dilution diluted out 1.2gpm+ (including water from the pressure washer).

So, let`s just make up some numbers. Let`s say your pressure washer is 1.2gpm and it takes 4 minutes of continuous spray to empty your 32oz bottle in your foam cannon of 1:9 HydroFoam solution.

Total H20 dispensed: 544 oz

Total HydroFoam used 3.6 oz

Actual panel ratio in foam cannon 1:151.....

That is a HUGE difference from 1:9.....

This is a significant difference in concentration of what would actually land on the panel based on the 2 methods.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody from CarPro has been able to explain this. So, am I just wasting a ton of it using it 1:9 in a spray bottle, or is it too weak in a foam cannon????

Use it 1:9 in a bucket? You`d have to be a millionaire.

The mystery of CarPro.....

I appreciate the math there....I might have to play around with this. A better ration sure would make it more cost effective...and yes I think the guy who uses this 1:9 in a wash bucket probably uses PA Gold Zirkon as a drying aid. lol

you`d need 42.666 oz just to dilute out to 3 gallons for a wash
