New Lexus in town Any coating installers local

Well my sister just picked up a new Black Lexus 2015 leftover RC350 down near the shore.
I found a deep scratch on one wheel and she`s taking it tomorrow for a quick detail and to finish some paperwork.
I told her not to let them touch the paint but she said they were going to clean it up.
She wants me to wax it soon. But I
Rather have her get a coating applied.
Its swirless now so I`m hoping it comes back that way.
Anyone local or not tooooo far from 08096 NJ?
I`m trying to convince her its the best thing to do now for that car.
I do have a heck of an arsenal myself but with my son being sick and having just moved into a new home I`m swamped. Haven`t even touched my cars yet. And I`ve never done a coating.
Any pros interested, PM me. And give me an idea on price. Thanks

It depends on how far “South Jersey” is.

If I wasn’t going to detail my own car, there are two places I’d consider. Detailer’s Domain does great work but Phil is in Norwood which is only a mile or so from the New York Border.

The other place would be Signature Detailing in Hillsborough. I know Hillsborough is more Central Jersey, but I think Greg Gellas is a member of this forum and is supposed to do excellent work. Chad Rasky could speak to his services, I think he and Greg are friends.

I’m sure there are others, maybe someone else will chime in.

Good Luck!

Got a quote.
Cquartz Finest prep and coat $1250 (2 yr warranty )
Optimum Gloss Coat same prep $750 (no warranty)

This guy is a certified dealer.
She has no problem with it.
But. .maybe if she waits a bit I`ll coat it myself with the Gloss Coat .

Is there a kit with everything in it?

Ones I know of that are close to you are KJW Detailing and Anthonys Auto Detailing

Thanks Briarpatch, its looking like Anthonys will be getting the job.
He just answered My list of questions.
He knows Greg at Signature.

I`m going to try Gloss coat eventually for my cars. ( That`s the lower priced option he offers)
I suggested she go with the CQuartz finest (a a bit more money but probably worth it)

Personally I`d go with CQ UK. Not quite as tough as finest but still has the darkening effect.

Personally the only coatings I use/interested in are CQ UK, Igreenlovers (VERY IMPRESSED) and of course Modesta. I think I`m going to see if I can get certified from them. I love the look of modesta, incredible depth.

As far as installers, Greg does excellent work but Phil at DD will always be my go to.

Saw the car today. I installed the plates for my sister.
And guess what (take a guess Ron)

It was perfect the first time I saw it.
She dropped a check off after the holiday weekend.
She told me they were going to wash it, no one prepped it since it was a holiday weekend when she got it.
She was adamant. They`re just going to wash it.
I was highly against it. But finally said in disgust "do what you want"

Guess they used a brush. In the sun it looks like they didn`t miss an inch.
She was getting aggravated when i was explaining and pointing out the damage they did.
Anthonys is gonna have to give it some TLC ?

I think I`m buying her a sign for her car too.
WHY do dealers let IDIOTS touch new cars ?

Can someone explain the difference between PBL Paint Coating v2 and PBL Diamond Surface Coating ?
I`ve got a bunch of stuff in my cart just may take advantage if the sale too.

I can tell you lexus black paint ios soft.

At the risk of giving you advice that you did not ask for let me tell you about the long list of thankless details I have done.

Close friends of ours got a navy Q5 audi suv. I was asked to help clean it up for them. it was new but sitting. Dealer prepped it before I got the call. I said, come to my house buy the coating here and I have everything else. He did, and came but. One hour into the wash he say, how much longer till we put on the tiny bottle I bought? I said like 5 hours we still need to polish. He dropped the hose, handed me the bottle said keep it. Im drying the car and going to the beach. 5 hours more you are nuts, I am out. Ill take it to the car wash 1x a week and trade it in in 2-3 years.

Don`t show her the swirls, and don`t poison the well. I wish I did not see them.

At dealerships, their lot attendants are some of the lowest paid employees, but in some cases, are the last person to touch your new car before you pick it up. Most people never look that deeply at the paint before they leave, and the dealers are very happy that they don`t.

Do not worry.....Anthony`s will correct the issue.....and maybe you can educate your sister in proper washing technique so you do not have this problem again.
