Additional NANO pads?

Yes, I know...just didn`t want to plug another site out of courtesy to acc.

I tried out the Flex pads in Rotary mode late last night and they worked great! I actually might leave mine in rotary mode. Loving not having any vibration. I just wish we could use the 2" pads in rotary. The dust cover can be removed to allow the 2" plate to be used, but I think it doesn`t spin the 2" pads very well in rotary.

Those tiny pads are $10 each? I need to find a way to cut up 7 inch pads.
I`m gonna buy the uhs ones, but i picked up some flex pads to try out. I will have them Thursday.

Other than that i really want to try and cut up some pads too.

Yeah, I`m usually the early adapter type, but waiting for everyone to sort out the problems seemed like the right way to go this time. I`ll get one on the next shipment of long necks. Kinda pissed at the price of pads though. Need some microfibers for fast cutting.

Kind of a follow up since it looks like I was the last poster. I recently bought a Rupes Nano so now it`s time to buy pads. The price for the Rupes Nano pads are still $9.99 the same as the 4 inch pad. Has anyone found a replacement or figured out a way to cut up a 7 inch pad to make smaller ones for the Nano? How about microfiber pads?

I tried cutting an old 5" Meguiar`s microfiber pad into a smaller pad. The backing material did not really stick very well to the backing plate. It worked fine and never flew off but I just did not feel comfortable enough to use it. Also the microfiber material would come off the pad rather easy when cleaning out the pad.

I almost don`t mind the price of the nano since the kit is so nice, but $40 for 6 pads????!! Also you need 3 for the stages so that`s $120 for a set of one inch PADS!

Bob I`m using flex green/black pads along with the rupes yellow/blue included

I find the mini blue pad cuts about the same as my mini with a green pad or uhs pad on6, controlling for the same polish

The nano simply isnt as powerful as the corded tools IME..not a complaint, i Love this thing, its just my experience..perhaps i need to use the plug in, never tried it

AG has some lc mini pads, 1inch and 2inch

I might try a few of those next

I need to contact Meguires about cutting their discontinued 3 inch pads to 2 inch and start selling them again (lol). I`m sure the market for 2 inch pads is smaller than the one for 3 inch pads. I guess it`s the Flex pads until Black Friday rolls around or Autopia does a BOGO.

I may have found the answer to the Nano pad problem. Lake Country makes something called a Force Pad and it comes in 1 and 2 inch sizes and one site is offering them as a set of four for $22.99, which is about half the price for the Rupes pads. Anyone have experience with Force pads. I know LC make quality pads. Not sure why Autopia does not sell them.
