From owning the eagle edgelss, I have found they tend to lint as they get older. They work great for rinseless washing. I have not been to fond of them for compound and polish removal.
I've had similar experience. My older batch has been regulated to my special rinseless washes.
The linting issue would concern me, even for use with a Rinseless. The ones I'm using now can bug me in that regard, and I want my next batch to *not* have this issue.
I wouldn't say mine are linting, as in heavy fabric leaving a mess. For me, it's like micro linting. At first, I thought I was marring the paint. I then took a different towel to wipe and the linting was wiped away. For rinseless, I haven't had any issues.
For drying, I still prefer TRC's older, blue WW drying towels (before they added the silk borders). The newer ones don't hold the folded, square shape as well as the older ones. (I have, but haven't used, the newer Pluffle towels).
