How much soap in foam gun?

For my foam cannon, I actually did an experiment to see how much water was dispensed per minute (gallons per minute) from the hose then added water to the reservoir to measure draw to get a total (water + draw) per minute. My goal was to get a similar dilution ratio as a minimum as I would in a bucket wash.

In my foam cannon set up with 1 ounce of product + 10 ouches of water , I got 1:271 dilution out of the foam cannon on the paint.

If you are worried about stripping LSP just go buy some OTC soap, I use Blue Coral car wash soap for the gun, it cost like 4 buck for a half gallon at Wally world. It works great for me for a pre-soak/rinse soap and I can't tell it takes any of the protection off. I didn't think the gun would work at first after opening the box and was thinking I had wasted my money until I tried it. I was surprised how much of the heavy dust and dirt the foam or suds picks up and rinses off the paint.

I have a few other cheaper soaps that are all pH neutral and therefore don't strip waxes or sealants. I don't know if they will foam quite as well though since they aren't as thick and viscous as CGCWG

I'm using Optimum's soap and loving it in my foam gun. Tons of foam with 2 ounces of soap. No gloss enhancers, just strong soap. Great for coated cars.

I've heard great things about this soap^^^
Definitely will consider for my next soap. But as of now I have probably at least 1/3 gal of CGCWG to finish up
