any ideas on why my pad kept turning black? even went back and nanoskin it again to be sure but didnt help

Great work, agree rims look weird on a Lexus. I would guessed some type black tinted wax or detail spray from one the many new black oriented "systems", cool to know they have tinted clear coats. Who knew clear coat doesn't always mean its actually clear.
