Anyone use Gary Deans Juice Boost?

I live in So Cal and do all waterless washes. I'd been using Chemical Guys EcoSmart for a good while and love it, but recently bought some Wolfgang Uber Rinseless. I've always been curious about trying Infinite Use Detail Juice, I've read a few scattered reviews on Google. I'm not finding any for Juice Boost though . I'm either going to stick with Uber or go with D114 for my maintenance level wash clients. But I'm looking for something to offer the basic package customers as an upgrade. Since I'm finding zero reviews of Juice Boost, I'm not sure if that's a way I should be looking to go. I'm looking for something that will give a vehicle more protection and a better shine that's not going to involve adding another step. So something to upgrade the waterless portion would be perfect.

My math's is horrible due to California public schools, so if my math is correct here, going with IUDJ+JB would make it about $7.50 a wash, not exactly cheap but could be worth if it the results are good. Is there a better replacement? Right now I'll tell clients who want extra shine and protection that doing the BF Midnight Sun Carnuba spray wax add on is the way to go. They've all loved how it looks, but it's an additional step and I'm trying to stream line.

*EDIT* DOH my math sucks lol, I think I was calculating based off using a gallon of diluted product, when I use only about 32oz tops. And even with that I think my math is still way off.

Never tried the boost juice, I use the IUDJ and I am really happy with that. If memory serves I think Accumulator has and maybe 52split. Perhaps they will chime in. I do something similar to what you mentioned. Right now the truck has PA Viking Coat and I do rinseless with the GD and for added pop I alternate with BSD, the Midnight Sun, PA Rapidwaxx. I also wondered about the Boost juice but there isn't much feedback anywhere, besides on amazon and I tend to take those reviews with a grain of salt.

I agree with you on the Amazon reviews, I'm not saying they're full of crap as they have used the product and I haven't. But 2 of them said it's the best sealant they've ever used. Makes me wonder what other's they've tried. And of course, not a single of the 8 5 star reviews mention anything about durability. ANd oddly enough the description on detailjuice.com makes no mention of how long it lasts. Not that I believe the claims most companies make about their products longevity lol. I literally can't find anything online that says "this product lasts 2 weeks" "it lasts 2 months" The 16oz of both will run me about $100. If my math is correct, which it probably isn't, with 16oz of both I'll get about 805oz which would give me about 25 cars assuming I use 32oz per car. That's $4 a wash, not a whole lot of $$$. But I swear Gary use to sell 4oz bottles of both? I've bought a TON of detailing products in the past 2 years, so I'm not really looking to drop $100 more on a maybe works good product combo. But then again I don't know if I'll ever find any solid answers about Juice Boost so it might be the only way I can ever find out.

While reading the first post, the first solution that came to my head was using a spray wax to apply extra protection while drying the car during the rinseless wash; so it was nice to eventually read that you're already offering that as an upgrade. How about instead of going quicker...you go slower and charge more? Like offering a hand applied premium carnauba wax like Pinnacle Souveran after a rinseless wash? I haven't met a single person that doesn't love the way their car felt or looked after an application of a premium 'nuba. Just a thought.

I keep thinking I oughta try the IUDJ + JB for my drying aid. I'm currently *very* happy with regular (QD-strength) IUDJ for this, liking it nearly as well as my Spray Waxes, and I do wonder what added benefit I'd see from the JB.

The way I see this topic- If I'm gonna wash, then I'm gonna dry, so I might as well use some kind of Drying Aid and that Drying Aid might as well be something that contributes as much as possible as long as the cost is reasonable. IUDJ is a bit pricey the way I mix it, but it's still cheaper than the QDs I like such as FK425. That Juice Boost seems very pricey, but I haven't run the numbers to compare the cost with something like OCW or UQW/M156.

I've experimented with various WW (Ultima's, Blackfire, Pinnacle and IUDJ) by mixing them at a stronger solution rate (roughly by a third) . I would get 3 plus weeks of performance. The only negative I ran into was mild streaking, which would easily wipe off with a second MF as the first towell becomes saturated. Wonder what the results/compatiblity would be by adding crystal seal to the BF WW or Ultima's PPP to their WW?

Funny enough, I posted some numbers in response to a YouTube comment asking for a price breakdown. Here's what I wrote:
Using Amazon pricing, and 1 gallon of water for a typical RINSELESS wash, it breaks down to 52 cents for Infinite Use Detail Juice and 34 cents for the Optimum No Rinse Wash and Wax. Even cheaper if you use Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine (no wax added) at 26 cents. [These prices DON'T include cost of water]

That was based off of buying the 32oz bottles of each. And when I do my routine rinseless wash,, I usually end up using less than a gallon of the mix.

Where in So Cal are you? If you haven't already tried IUDJ, I'd be willing to share a couple of ounces for you to play with. I don't have any of the JB, so I've never tried it.

EDIT: For waterless, IUDJ will be $1.29 per 32oz dilluted product or $5.15 for a gallon of the mix. Unfortunately, I'm still half asleep and haven't had coffee so I don't want to try the math on adding the JB given the additional ratios of product.:o and again, this isn't taking into account the cost of the water.

Just FWIW, for most uses I mix my IUDJ at about 2oz. IUDJ added to ~126 oz. distilled water. I have a spray bottle with a stronger/"true QD" mix, but I only use that for cleaning up stuff like bird-bombs between washes (which I hardly ever bother doing, must've mixed up that bottle years ago and there's still plenty left).

My advice is to buy and try it. You can wash/clay/seal a car much faster with the IUDJ + JB system. And as someone mentioned, just call Garry. He's passionate about his products and process, because they work.

I used the two together the last time I washed my truck. Mixed 1/2 oz. of each with 2 gallons of water. Still beading decent after 6 weeks. I was going to use a spray wax, but this was even easier!

JustJesus - I'm in Riverside.

Thanks to everyone who replied

This is great info on the beading, one more question how would you rate the appearance? Sounds like this could be my magic upgrade for customers. As much as I love BF Midnight Sun spray wax, if I could get better protection and subtracting a step I'm all for it. And with that spray wax I never get 6 weeks of beading from it.

I mix IUDJ+JB in a bottle for pre-soak. I also mix IUDJ+JB in the rinseless bucket. I've had friends cars go 3 months beading with the combo. You can spray it on as a drying aid, or apply it to dry paint. It's very versatile. Garry just released JB v2. I haven't tried it, but it's got more protection. I can't personally say anything about V2. I'm a fan of V1 and have a bunch to use before I buy V2.

Infinite Use Detail Juice = IUDJ / Juice Boost = JB

I have used both IUDJ and JB. (Seperate and mixed together)

IUDJ is one of the better rines-less washes I ahve used. It is just as good as my favorite UWWP+. It cleans well and leaves a nice finish.

JB is stronger when used as a mist on selant. But I prefer to mix it in my rinse-less wash as a booster as then I touch the paint less. Using JB there is an added level of "protection" left behind. I have not "meassured" how much time the protection lasts as I ususally wash once a week and using IUDJ or even UWWP+ adds to the protection in some way.

I always thought that detail juice was just Ultima water less wash with a different name? Ultima is just a few miles away from him and does not take much to repackage from bulk to small bottles for youtube fans. Juice Boost seems like another Ultima product.

I don't think that is the case at all. I have both and they are not that similar. The color and smell are pretty distinct for starters. Not to mention the IUDJ seems to have substantially more lubricity to me.

Small bottles? Eh, I bought a gallon of IUDJ, cheaper that way.

Wish I would have had a sample. Had I known it was going to be good, I'd buy the gallon as well. But nope, only went with the 16oz bottle. Oh well, there is always next time!

EDIT: But boy, did I learn from that! Tried some 3D Pink soap....and went out and bought the 5 gal bucket. While it was on sale, no less. SCORE!

Yeah, for stuff that doesn't go bad with age, once you know you like something you might as well buy it in cost-effective quantities.

But you *do* need to determine whether you like it! I'll be using up ONR on household stuff for ages, having bought a gallon of v2.0 before realizing that it's not to my liking :o

Closer to on-topic: due to a mix up (that Garry made right), I ended up with a *LOT* of his Beyond Infinity Sealant...it'll be a looong time before I use up all of that stuff.
