Noob machine polishing set-up

I've perused this and other forums for many hours for info to guide me in investing in a machine polishing set-up for my new Golf R (Oryx White). I'm leaning toward coating with CQ-UK so I need a compatible prep workflow that is noob friendly. Basically what polishing paint prep polishing system would you recommend for a machine polishing noob that isn't afraid to invest the time and $$ to keep his ride's paint pristine? Thanks in advance.

Get a Griot's 6" DA, 4 Cyan hydro tech pads and a bottle of HD Adapt, or the trendy new option would be Essence. That will polish the car out just fine. Before polishing, as a part of your wash process, you'll want to use Ironx or another iron remover and a nanoskin. Follow up with carpro eraser before coating with the Cquartz.

EDIT: Forgot to mention.., get some Wolfgang pad cleaner for after polishing. Best pad cleaner available, makes it super easy and no hassle.

Definitely Iron X on a white car you`ll see all the contaminants turn purple . Peeping is important if your going to coat your car..

Sorta-random thoughts follow:

IME white vehicles are pretty easy to keep nice, especially if you're not the kind of person who inspects them under specialized lighting all the time.

I'd absolutely do a chemical decontamination on a new white vehicle.

A white Golf R sounds like about the most sensible use of that $ on a new car that I can possibly imagine. Great. Choice. Of. Car.

If I were buying a polisher today, I'd get one of the new "long-throw" models; IMO there has been a seachange in polishers just recently and I'd want to take advantage of that.
