PFM Towels in action

Didn't we have a thread here a few months ago claiming the old school Terry Weave towels were the best? Props to Griots for filling in this void in the towel market. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but they're now officially on my wish list.

Someone straighten me out. He says the PFM drying towel is a microfiber towel. I was thinking a terry towel was cotton, not microfiber. Help!

Rasky is right. It's the same "construction" or weave as a cotton terry towel but using microfiber.

oh man can someone put this up against Dry Me Crazy ?

I was about to pull the trigger on a few of those but if these are better...im all in then

I just purchased two of them...that video won me over...I love my Guzzler Hd and Guzzler but I think this is going to be my new favorite drying towel and I figure I have like 9 different sealants why cant I have 4 different type drying towels?

I've been eyeing the PFM drying towel for a while. Are they available here, or only on the AG side?

Yep they'll be on the Autopia store very soon. But in the meantime you can either request it over the phone or in the comments section of the order if you want to place the order online.

I'm gonna have to get me some of these! I'd thought the cobra drying towel was awesome, but it doesn't do that. And what was it, 860gsm? Wow

I've been using a couple of the Griot's PFM Terry Weave Towel (not the "drying" towel, just the PFM towel) for about a year now. I've mainly used them with spray waxes, but they are said to good for glass, wax removal, etc. also. They are very nice towels and are more dense/heavy than your standard micro fiber towels. My only caution is that they seem to snag very easily, especially when wiping near deck lid and fender emblems. I snagged both of mine very quickly after purchasing. This has not seemed to hurt the performance of the towel in any way, but just a word of caution if this is something that would bother you be very very careful when using them around emblems and moldings they could snag on!

I have a Dry Me Crazy and if you lay it out and run it across the paint like the first video, it won't pick it up the water on the first try. I try to get it to every time I dry my car and no luck. Let me know how you like the towel though. Would love to know if it is worth it.

Yeah, they can snag on the car badges/emblems so you have to be aware of those areas when drying.
