U.s. Navy surrenders in gulf?

i really hope there are extenuating circumstances as to why two heavily armed navy boat crews surrendered to the Iran navy recently and were made to get on their knees with hands on their heads for a video propaganda film. the additional propaganda film of an apology by the oic was pretty degrading too. i doubt we'll ever get the truth from this administration that probably doesn't see anything wrong with this, but i know this totally pisses off a lot of Americans, especially with the recent provocations by Iran in the gulf. :usflag
 
Looks to me like they were in the wrong, being in waters they shouldn't have been. I'm not sure what they should have done in your mind? Started shooting and possibly get people killed over a navigation mistake? Remember they are Navy not Marines LOL

I thought the young officer handled the situation very well--everyone got out safe and sound.
 
a U.S. vessel that allegedly had mechanical problems and should have been handled a lot differently. you know, like when Iranian missile attack vessels fire off missiles within 1500 yds of a U.S. aircraft carrier. gee i hope the billion dollar payout will still let us be friends...
 
Absolutely nothing to be ashamed or worried about. What would you want, an international incident over a boat malfunction? We would have (hopefully) treated a military force in our waters the same way. The OIC just admitted to what happened. Nothing more.

IMHO

That would be fine had they returned the Americans they are holding right now, as well as not have fired an "unguided" missile 1500 yards from one of our ships.

They just keep poking us in the eye. And we just sit there and say, "thank you, may I have another............."
 
It ticks me off that this happened..

So, if the water was International Water, can't we be in it too?

And if it was not International Water, can't we be in it because we have a real Navy out there and we can kick your A$$ ???

Why did the Navy allow them to come on board, when the Navy boats I believe it looks like they had more than 1 - .50 caliber machine gun, and could have sent a few tracers over the Iranian rubber-raft :), no ???

Heck the Coast Guard will send a few .50 caliber tracers over your bow if you do something stupid or are a suspected drug runner, anywhere...

And no one in the Navy had a phone to call the big Destroyers and Carriers out there to send a a few jets over, and yeah, how about sending a bigger boat over to help with repairs??

The Idiotic Presidency should have shut up and not said 1 word and handled it with all our Naval Power and not that imbecile John Kerry...

But then again, the Presidency is more than partial to Muslims anyway - why is that again ???

Ok, I have to go outside and break some rocks or something...

Its ok its not our money anyways... we just borrowed it from china. If they want 150 billion why dont we tell them to go ask china for a loan? Why do we consistently borrow money yet just give it away. Even better to countries that hate us. Man i should get a couple extra mortgages on my house so i can buy those other kids farrari's, then maybe they will stop sticking their tounges out us and throwing rocks. Oh don't worry if you wreck i'll take out another loan next year. Yeesh.

Meh, planted event by Obama as is evident by the lap dogs running around and saying how lucky we are to have developed this relationship.

Actually its wonderful for Iran because if they hurt our guys or our boats a real president would respond unpleasantly. Another obama failure allowing us to be mocked on their TV.
 
Anyone ever figure out what they were doing there anyway? Why don't we just stay in our own backyard and quit trying to police the whole world? I guess just cause we are 'mericans we can do what we please. No wonder most of the world either hates us or envies us. Now that oil has dropped below $30 per barrel we can continue to drive our trucks and SUVs just like God intended us to. I mean, if we nuked all these Muslim heathens where would we get our sweet crude? I know deep down this is all a plot to put all the US companies that invested millions in fracking tech out of business and not that there never was a shortage of oil after all. If it is on the internet you have got to believe it...right?
