Car pro hydro2lite questions

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
Maybe making this harder that it seems. I agree this is a amazing product. But have a few questions. It will not bond on waxed or previous treated surfaces. So if you had to pre clean or do some correction, a AIO or cleaner, such as amigo would be out of the question correct? You would have to start with the RESET soap or IRONX to remove any thing on the surface that could inhibit bonding, then apply hydro2lite correct? So steps would be....

1. Start with a clean surface! RESET or IRONX.
2. Apply HYDRO2LITE.
3. DONE.

your method looks good to me

as far as using an aio before - I am not sure, I used hydro2lite and it lasted about a month on top of my failing 2 year old PBL v1 before I ended up polishing some panels out, but the hydro2lite was still beading at that time.

the way I see it, if I'm going to put in the effort to do an AIO or anything like that, I'd probably just put Hydro Max on top or some spray sealant type product, Opti-Seal, etc. instead of wetting the car again and using hydro2lite but that's just me.

now starting with a clean surface you have a good plan in my opinion. I used a strong mix of citrus red and then clayed and used hydro2lite on my neighbors car and it worked well. it was actually quite an enjoyable process, I love watching it react and start to work.

I used it on my wife's car because it had no beading from any previous waxes or sealants and I was reasonably sure the paint was free of anything that would cause the Hydro2lite to fail. I thoroughly washed the car with some Optimum soap and everything worked out great. It's at the 3 week mark and still looking good and sheets like crazy. I would not use it on something that has any lsp. But if you think about it what would be the use of using somethings like Hydro2lite when your paint is already protected? If I was a pro detailer I would offer this as an add on instead of waxing. It is the perfect timesaver and I believe the client would be impressed with the results.

agreed...just for the heck of it I will try some of it on top of the Midnight sun on the side of my truck tomorrow and see how it turns out - but I doubt it will last very long

If it lasts 3 months it would be great. I plan on using Carpro Hydrofoam as the wash to maintain my wife's car. I assume these play well together. My big problem is what to do in the Summer. There is no such thing as a cool surface is the Summer in South GA.
