Topping Carpro Essence with a Coating

For those that have been topping Essence with a dedicated coating, how long have you waited before applying the coating?

I understand that by the time you finish polishing if you start coating where you began that is fine. I usually give it an hour.

This^^^

I polish the car in the same pattern I plan to coat with so by the time I start coating it's been over an hour.

Hi guys just a quick question has any of you experienced premature failure with your coatings while using essence as a primer? I understand that carpro says that It merges with coatings but I’m not fully convinced since from my understanding you would want the most durable ceramic at the bottom?? TIA

I would only use it with carpro coatings just to be safe.

The only thing I keep hearing is that Essence and Gloss Coat do not work together. It’s getting easier to find a SIO2 primer now. Gyeon and TAC Systems both have SIO2 primers. Of course these are all S. Korean cousins of CarPro Essence.

I ran a 8 or 9 way essence topper test a few years ago. If someone wants to dig it up, there`s good info in there..but now as I type this I think I didnt update it very much because it didnt seem like anyone was interested.
Cliff notes..longest lasting topper was synergy and reload

And most people already know the results of my holy sheet hood test. Gtechniq csl and exo didn`t like essence on the hood but the sides are still going strong (never decontaminated the sides).
