I'd venture to say that presidents often try to act on how the majority feels, but as stated above, the average IQ is 100, so what does that say about what the majority wants? Do you think that a majority of Americans think 0 muslim should be allowed into this country? How about a majority?

How about a majority?

The majority is lead blindly by emotion, in this case fear, but which? Fear of the PC police/being labeled as a bigot VS Fear of extremism. Right now it's definitely leaning towards being a bigot.
I think we can all agree that religion is not what should be barred (Even though some may have twisted it's views to preach horrific ideals), again many here think barring muslims is not the answer, the problem is how do we know who's muslim? You can't tell who "is" certain religion, that said certain countries should be barred from the US.
We did it with African countries with ebola and we did it with Cuba for many decades. This should be our answer, if you are cited as a hot bed for extremism you cannot travel to the US end of story.
Just so tired of reading about those Catholic nuns and Baptist preachers shooting people here and around the world.

Dan, As always I enjoy your enthusiasm and energy - seriously you have to be one of the most positive guys on here. I respect that.
I'm with you on stamping out extremest - regardless of religion. Extremest want us to hate certain groups because it makes their life easy and "proves" their wicked and hateful causes.
America is beacon of hope the world over. At our core is a commitment to do whats right - not what's easy. Simply banning an entire religion of people go against everything this country is founded on and is unconstitutional.
That line of thinking puts us directly on a path of more harm vs any good that will come out of it.
He did exactly what he wanted to do, he got "air play" good, bad, or indifferent he got attention.
IMO- It sounds like Angus volunteered to have all the "refugees" move into his town...I'm ALL for that! I don't want to take that chance with my family. Its not a religious thing it is a HUMAN life thing, some of the extremists will be in the mix with the refugees and we will be sorry.

Amigo Angus,
Thank you so much for your kind words !
Not exactly sure what line of thinking you are referring to - sorry...
But in the end, would you rather have a little pain or hurt now, to achieve much joy with no pain later ? Hopefully, forever ?
Didnt the God of Israel once look down on the world, saw that wickedness had all but overcome everything, all His Prophets were murdered, and He told Noah to go build an Ark ??
Were not tears shed in Heaven over all those who had come here willingly, (our ancestors) wanting to find their way back, but had totally forgotten and become wicked, but were still loved completely, and agonized over in Heaven ?
None of us will ever be able to comprehend the amount of suffering the Parents of all those (and our) spirits had to go through as the rain started falling and they knew what was going to happen..
If no amount of compassion, care for, prayers for, patience, long-suffering, tears shed, will make a dent, and all that comes back instead is hatred, killing, killing of innocent men, women, and children, stealing, lying, wickedness, what is left ???
Will keeping the gate open so that the wolf can come in and kill the sheep be what the Good Shepherd would want to do??? What about His responsibility for His flock ?? Didnt He once talk about how He left the 99 in a safe place so He could find and bring back that 1 - the one little lamb - that had been lost, and now was safe from the wolf ??
In my heart of hearts, as I am sure it is in many of yours, the shedding of blood has to be the absolutely hardest thing that anyone would so not want to see happen - ever -...
Nevertheless, it does happen, and it happens all the time to all - repeat, - to all people, even good people who were totally victims and innocent..
Lucky for all of us, eventually, all the tears and hurt will be taken away from all mankind by the only one who has willingly gone through all the worst trials of all of us combined, in Gethsemane and Golgotha, and earned the right to one day wipe away all our tears and bring to each of us, healing in His wings...
So, what should we do now ?

There's no way Trump wins, but I'm far less terrified of him than I am Hilary.
Just curious, Why?
Just curious, why do you ask why?
