Hoping to get this Z cleaned & sold. Anyone know if there's a market for one of these anymore?
My sister had this sitting in their garage taking up space.
Would anyone even bother trying to clean one of these engines or if looking to sell just a quick detail inside and out .?

Not much of a market right now. A friend of mine sold his last year for $1000. The non turbo models go for low dollar. Depending on the mileage and condition I would look for $3500 tops. Keep it, they are great fun to drive. The A/C systems are prone to failure and expensive to repair.

I think it's been hanging around too long as it is. It had new injectors a few years ago. .would never stay running in closed loop. I just wanna detail it and maybe someone that's good with em might take it.
My 17 y.o. wants it but my wife would blame us if i let him have it. I don't think a teen should drive one.

If it is good shape let the 17 year old have it. I've always said a fast car is a safe car. It gets you out of the way of the idiots. Is it a manual or automatic? If it is an automatic sell it to some poor unsuspecting soul.

I had a 5 speed, 2 plus 2 with t tops. It was an 85, white over red leather.

Fun car. Sucked in rain and snow as most Zs do.

I think that solely depends on how mature he is. I was fortunate enough to make some good decisions and grades as a 17 year old and my parents let me sell my Honda Prelude for a '96 Mustang Cobra. Never wrecked it and kept it up until 3 years ago. Hell, make him work for it!

That's the problem. My wife is the enabler. Hes driving a car given to him....he won't put in for jobs that he selectively doesn't want.
I may eventually run south to Florida.

A friend of ours has the Turbo version of that, same color too...just sitting neglected in her garage for the last 20 years or so :(

I'd like to rescue it, but saving neglected cars is one habit I'm really trying to break.
