My mobile rig is a 2000 GMC Savana van with 335,000+ miles on it. It was owned previously by a painting contractor who drove it hard and never, I mean never cleaned it! When I first got it I gave it a complete cleaning inside and out! Not a full blown correction detail but a good deep cleaning that was epic in itself!
Today I decided to try to bring some life back to the black plastic mirrors and surrounding trim.
So I started out with a deep cleaning using BLACKFIRE All-In-One All Purpose Cleaner
The APC left it clean and grease free
next step was to apply the BLACKFIRE Total Trim & Tire Sealant 16 oz.
I applied a quarter size amount of product to a microfiber towel
I lightly rubbed the product around the mirror and the surrounding trim
After covering the whole area, I wiped it with a clean, dry microfiber towel
I applied a second coat and then wiped the whole assembly till dry.
Heres the final results
It left a silky smooth feel to the otherwise dry brittle feeling plastic and a nice black sheen with no greasy residue!
Overall I was very happy with the results of both the APC and Trim Sealant and highly recommend you give them a try!
