BlackFire Coating wash, beading/sheeting videos & Photoshoot

Hey guys, this weekend I had the chance to get some videos together documenting washing the BlackFire Paint Coating as well as a beading and sheeting video. There have been some questions on the product in general and I wanted to capture the attributes of the coating and bring them to you. In the end I was able to get an impromptu photo-shoot done for my neighbors car.

On the first video showing the wash, a rinse less wash method was utilized with Meguiar’s D114 mixed up at a 1:256 ratio. My wash media consisted of multiple plush type mf towels for the wash.

On the second video I showcase the behavior characteristics of how the BlackFire paint Coating will bead and sheet water. Please excuse the wind noise as it became pretty hostile in my video towards the end.

The new ROTA wheels also received a coat of the BlackFire Crystal Coat Paint Coating while the tires received BlackFire Total Eclipse Tire Gel.

I have the coating but just waiting for cooler weather before I apply.
Has anyone made an attempt in hot weather in a garage? What would be a window of safe temps for application?

I did one Black mercedes last weekend and it turned out great.. Its still parked inside since then as the owner likes how it looks parked He has been so after me asking how can he keep it looking like this for a long time. I told him as with all products, it wont have the day 1 look as time passes by and if Blackfire isn't coming with a maintainence spray quartz contents, then I might as well hook him up to a 1:1-2 Reload.. I will share a review soon.

The hotter it becomes the faster the product flashes giving you less time to work with. If your garage temps exceed 80 work only one panel at a time.

I agree. Hopefully we see the corresponding maintenance products appear to maintain this coating. Cant go wrong with Reload.

Will be on the lookout for it.

Not even 1:2 for post wash topping (similar gloss and water/ cleaning behaviour he is after) ? I understand the streaking issues on a black but I was hoping 1:2 shouldn't cause that.

Mine was 2/1 or 3/1

Just remember, he screws it up after you give it to him, you gotta take care of it. Just my opinion/experiences.

I am active duty military stationed in Germany. This Focus is a U.S. specification Focus ST. This particular model has been upgraded.

It is a sweet ride isn't it?

I was stationed there way back 85-87. They gave the military special license plates, which stuck out like sore thumbs and made us targets. I'm glad to see you have normal plates. I was stationed in Craisheim, Wertsburg, and Ausshaffenburg. Drank a lot of great beer.

I was stationed in Rammstein from '05-'08 and those plates were still in use. In the summer of '06 they started making the migration over to the German plates. There was a lot of kickback from this as the rules became more strict on what you could do and what you can't do on your vehicle.
