Found Good Towel Stain Remover

Was at my mom's house and she handed me this stuff when I was leaving (she's always handing my random stuff). She said it's "good for stains". It's a detergent called Persil.

Anyway, I had some stained MFs - so I decided to try it. No, it didn't take any pics - but it did remove the stains that weren't coming out with DP MF cleaner.

After washing with this stuff, I ran DP MF cleaner and towels came out pretty much stain free. So, if you have some stained towels - try this stuff.

Dunno where it came from, as my mom gave it to me. But I noticed the towels came out very vibrant looking (colors). I had some nasty old towels I washed with it that came out very clean looking. So, I like it.

If it's Walmart only - I hate that place.

Is this designed for HE washer?

Yes.

In all fair disclosure, my mom gave me homemade meatballs, sausage, linguini, sauce, and Chicken Kiev at the same time - and they were good as well.

So you just did a regular wash with it? Or did you use the Persil as some sort of spot treatment?

Why did you decide to wash again after with your DP MF cleaner? Or did I misunderstand?

Pics of the meatballs please.

Not able to get camera in my stomach. Meatballs are awesome. My mom won't buy "ground beef" from a grocery store, she goes to a butcher and he grinds it fresh. Sauce is homemade as well.

First I washed with the Persil, then I washed with DP MF cleaner to remove any remnants (like fabric softener) the Persil may have left behind. Pretty happy with this combo for stained towels.

Cool, thanks for sharing. I figured my stained towels are going to stay that way until I pony up for one of those fancy front-loaders with the sterilize cycle which is supposed to take those pesky MF stains out in only 2.5 hours or something. I'll look into the Persil.

Thanks! I've got a lot of stained MF towels that micro restore cleans well but doesn't remove. I will give this a shot.

I think that the sanitize cycle will be to hot for the micro fiber towles

The Sanitize cycle works great on all my MFs. Certainly not as hot as boiling them, which some MF manufacturers advocate.

Setec Astronomy- While I say it "works great", it does *not* work miracles ;)

I haven't found a need to use DWV since I started using 3D Towel Kleen--really does a great job on MF towels (and it's inexpensive), but I can see the need from time to time to use Persil for the really dirty towels.

I bought some of this detergent last week. It's a WALMART-only offering. I guess it's a German product that ranks high. Walmart is trying to use it as leverage against Tide so they'll lower their prices. I believe all of the variants are HE-rated. The fragrance is going to be too strong for some, but I've done about 5 loads with it and it does clean really well. I did a load of MF towels this morning. I'll have to give a close inspection tonight when they come out of the dryer.
