What hose reels are you guys using? This will need to mount on a wall in my garage, and will hold a garden hose, not a PW hose. Thanks!

Dude !
Hope you guys are doing good !
Guess you have been busy - - have not seen your name in a few years, Im thinking.. :)

Yeah, that was my deal, too. I kept saying, "I gotta do this".

I'll tell ya, I spent as much (probably more) on those POS Suncast reels to buy one of these. And these hose reels are a work of art and built to a standard you don't often see.

Hey Dan!

We are good! Heading up the detail department at a Portland area dealership, actually making some good money and revamping what we do, what products we use, and other things like that. Lots of fun, and lots of work!

Thanks for being no help at all on this question! LOL

Hope California is treating you well.

When money is no object, I believe the Rapid Reel is likely the best you can buy. This is NOT a Home Depot type of product.

Thanks Tom, I will check that brand out, sounds pretty awesome!

Those used to go by the name rapid reel and they are suppose to be amazing. I got thrown by the price and passed but after breaking 2 more in 1 season, I will pony up and try on wall mount and cart mount. In the long run, I think it will save me $ over replacing theses yearly with junk. The suncast plastic stuff is crap-save your money.

At 292 bucks that is north of the Rapid reels.

Perhaps you can share you FF discount with us?

We have red hose reels from Grainger at my Fire Department

They are manual roll up and have held up for 8+ years. Let me tell you .... if we can't break them in 8 years of heavy use by firefighters .... ya can't break em haha

Edit: Here is the linky, they are BEEFY! http://www.grainger.com/product/REELCRAFT-Hose-Reel-4NA97?s_pp=false&picUrl=//static.grainger.com/rp/s/is/image/Grainger/4NA97_AS01?$smthumb$

I feel as though we actually have the $430 dollar ones haha inside hose diameter of 3/4" rather than 1/2" we like water

But these things have never ever failed it's amazing

Here are a couple of shots (I think this hose is 5/8" x 75'):

My only regret is not getting the reel "expansion" kit which permits you to fit a larger/longer hose.

IIRC, this could have been mounted parallel or perpendicular to the wall with the parts they include.
