3d ultra protectant review

PA DETAILER

DETAILED TODAY?
From my sample. It was colder out than i thought out this afternoon, but i went at it just the same. Interesting product. The instructions prompted it can be sprayed. So i poured it in a spray bottle. I was going to do the wells, but opted for the tires. Good thing i did! This stuff is thick. Almost like a gel. After some squirts on the tires, i spread it out with a foam tire pad. If i would have done the wells, it just would have globed. BUT instructions state not to dilute it. I thought it left a great looking tire. Even and just the right amount of gloss. I think it would be awesome applied with a carrand tire applicator brush or a regular foam applicator.

SIDE NOTE: I love the new firestone destination A/T tires! One of the best A/T tires i have driven.

To compare, the first is opti-bond. Second is 3D ULTRA PROTECTANT.

Cool review

Wonder if weather ws warmer would that have made the gel go further and be able to do wells as well

You should try a little bit diluted 1:1 and see how it works on the wells. Even though it says it can't be diluted, doesn't mean you can't.

Excellent review and thank you for providing some valuable feedback that I feel is preventing this product from being used to its full potential. And that would be the directions listed. I plan on updating them to reflect things much more clearer. And that's another reason why 3D likes doing these giveaways and urges people to be 100& unbiased about it.

Yes, the 3D Ultra Protectant can be diluted. Not so much for tires, but for engines and wheel wells. We actually cut it 4 to 1 for these applications in our shop. We also apply this UP to tires via sponge applicator as well. I just can't stand overspray on wheels and fender lips.

Thanks again!

Ahh. Good to know. 4:1 this would be great for engines/wells. Thanks David.
