The new 2014 Vette wheels can be had in black/ clear coat paint. It is strictly car paint and not any type of fortified clearcoat or basecoat. Hence after a few months, they can get pitted and chipped. I'm interested in any ways that I could recommend to other owners to protect these wheels, a film seems to be out of the question due to the contours, the only thing I can think of is something like Dupont Imron which is a tough paint, or powder coating.
