I`ve never polished a white car before.`How do y`all see what you`re doing with little contrast from the paint?

With white you want to get it as clean as possible to look it`s best.

    `

    Wash with a strong soap

    Iron X

    Clay

    Polish

    Sealant, Wax or Coating

    `

Keep the lights off in the garage and use LED or Halogen lights going section by section polishing the swirls and RIDS out. These pics are from a Wash, Iron X, Clay and DG 501/601 combo topped with D156.

Here is a pic of my white Durango:

This will be a new car. I plan to use the ValuGuard decontamination system to clean it.

My work area is outside under a car port, so I don`t have a lot of control over lighting.

The dealer won`t be washing/prepping the outside, so hopefully there won`t be any defects to deal with.

I just want to get the surface as reflective as possible prior to 22PLE application.

    Oh my gosh

    Don`t let dealer prep it.

Ask them to give it to you as is.

The less they touch it, the less you need to fix.

Trust me, unless they are exceptional, is not worth it.

Gonna be tough to see defects on`white in outside lighting. I would suggest taking it for a spin at night to a gas station with good lighting and checking things out under their lighting or pull it in a dark garage and turn the halogens on.` Great start with using the ABC wash. That`s gonna pull all the crap right out of the paint and make buffing much easier.

Basically what he said. Decontamination makes a huge difference on white cars.

If weather permits do the polishing at night with LED or Halogen lights in your car port. The first 2 pics were taken the first day I bought the truck, spent 6 hrs on interior and exterior.

My older Crown Vic (which is in simply *dreadful* cosmetic condition, long story....) is white.

    `

Doing it outdoors will be tough, but at least white doesn`t show much so I bet it won`t really matter as long as it has that "clean and shiny" look.

Yeah, I`d absolutely ABC it and something user-friendly like HD Polish oughta get it looking great with minimal effort.
