getting 90%+ from one step

Cleaning Fool- Good to know that EZCG does not affect durability at all...

Got_Leather- I hear that, DJ. It seems like everyone is on edge this past year and things are getting a little out of hand as of late. No matter what, people are going to do things differently and have different opinions, I just don`t see why there has to be so much drama? It`s not like we`re talking about open heart surgery and the person might die if the correct steps aren`t followed. I think everyone needs to take a cold shower and chill out a little.

I think it should be everyones new years resolution on Autopia to be a little more respectful of others, or maybe just word things differently... :hifive:. All the drama and bickering gets kinda old after a while. Sometimes it`s worse than a bunch of women! :chuckle:

I can respectfully agree with you & gusbubba on dealers cars going to the auction, but I could never rest with a clear concience with the cars that would very well be sitting on their lot for 30, 60, 90 or even 120 days. That coupled with the lot washers using cheap LSP stripping soaps give competitors an easy in on your account knowing where your weaknesses lye if they see cars covered with halos. Heck I`d wipe a car down with WD-40 if I knew they`d never come back to bite me in the butt. :chuckle:

This has been my EXACT "go to" method for quite some time (PC, LC Orange, SIP, speed 6). It works incredibly well. I do prefer to finish off with something else like 106 though, but the paint looks pretty darn good after SIP alone.

I totally agree, David! Every car that rolls out of the shop is a rolling advertisement of my business, so sometimes I have to turn away jobs if the customer is not looking for a quality detail. I`m sure I could make more money doing hack jobs, but it wouldn`t take too long for people to find out and know you`re a hack. I totally know where gusbubba is coming from though. Wholesale work is completely different...

:har: lol Rick whats so different? Pressure washing interiors? Gutting seats. Or the good ole phrase. Just cut it and ship it. You mean people on autopia don`t put pledge on there cars to make them shine? Spray painting the wheel wells black to hide everything? Well really spray painting everything? LOL whats a vacuum we have carpet dye! OH man I could go on and on about them days. lol :hifive:

Gotta love good ol` auction details! It`s so funny when I think back to what I used to do to some of these cars. What`s more amazing is how much money the guy made that sold the cars :chuckle:. God, I can remember a huge black cargo van that was completely oxidized with no hope. He told me to do whatever was necessary to make it look good for the auction for $50. Out came the silicone tire dressing and a microfiber towel!!

Works great on paint! :up LOL

Interesting, I never knew EZ Creme had any cleaning capabilities. I wonder if it truly has cleaners, or if what you are seeing is more of a product of the pad, and the EZ Creme is simply serving as a lubricant?

It sure does. That is the difference between Danase Wet Glaze and EZ Creme Glaze hence the reason why DWG you can layer on top of any LSP. Pick a bottle up David and give it a try. 2 VERY small pea sized drops will do a panel or half a hood. Speed 6 and work it in. You will see for yourself. Either way, hope you had a good holiday bud, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

I hate drama too, which is why I never get involved in pissing matches with other people online. It doesn`t really get you anywhere and isn`t very professional in my opinion. You never know who might read it...

If these people spent more time :buffing: and less time :argue, than they wuld be a better detailer and have mre $$, haha...

I admit that I don`t visit here as much due to all of the bickering...

Instead of trying a product and getting the results for themselves(or using the product but denying it because they are at odds with the person lauding the product or method)there are ALWAYS some who stir the poo.......always.

Auto detailing is pretty straight foward and results driven, stuff either works or it does not even though opinions vary.........the car will tell the story good or bad and it sucks for the guys on the detailing websites who are trying to learn the trade for financial gain or to just do a better job on their personal vehicles, because honestly it seems you cannot win as the few ruin it for the many and the more seasoned guys do not want to share any info because it does not get you anywhere as I have had this conversation with a few of the top guys in the trade about this very thing.

Exactly, Bob! I can only imagine what some "guest" or "new" people to the forum are thinking when they read threads like this. I wouldn`t want to join.

Paint Correction is like a trip to the beach, there are many ways to get there but your trying to get to the same place. Of course some things set the standards and are most popular because I believe they are the best well rounded products.

Like Menzerna polishes changed the way several people do correction work.

Meg`s 105/205 changed the way people do correction work with the PC.
