Thumbs up Menzerna SIP and 106FF = Holy Grail!

I mentioned this in another thread, but I had to start a new thread because I still can't get over how great these products are! Simply incredible. I think the SIP says something on the bottle to the effect of "high performance polish". This is not marketing BS.

I had polished my yellow Protege 5 wagon about 4 weeks ago, using Poorboys SSR 2.5. This is a polish that I had used for quite a while. But when I was done with my claying, polishing with SSR 2.5 and applying the LSP, I was left uninspired. The paint just didn't glow like I wanted it to, and there was still some haze and swirls left in the paint.

Thus the search for a new polish began.

Menzerna SIP and 106ff were highly recommended here, so I bought both (despite the damage to my pocketbook).

I was somewhat skeptical, because I wasn't sure that a polish could really be that much better than others, including what I was using.

I was ignorant!

Using a 5.5 inch Orange low profile pad, I had no problems using the SIP at all. Using the PC, I was able to break down the polish just fine, and the working time seemed just right. When I removed the remaining polish with my MF, I was immediately impressed with what I was seeing. The SIP finished up very nice! It had obviously done a better job of correcting the swirls that remained after SSR 2.5, and the paint seemed to be much cleaner, with a much deeper look to it!

Followed that up with 106ff. This didn't seem to make as big an improvement from SIP (which wouldn't be expected), but it did seem to make the paint even wetter than after the SIP.

When finished with the 106ff, I sat back and admired my work. Actually, I admired the work that the Menzerna products allowed me to do! AMAZING!

How to describe the look? First, SQUEEKY CLEAN! Literally! My paint has NEVER been smoother. It is just sick how slick it is! I can't stop putting the back of my fingers across the paint to feel the slickness.

Menzerna also made the paint wetter than it had been by quite a bit. Very glossy. Still, I am lacking the description I am looking for that sets Menzerna apart.....

Perhaps this is it: I am getting more of a deep yet "sharp" mirror glow to the finish! The paint just really "pops" like crazy.

I just couldn't possibly be happier with the results, and highly recommend these products (especially the SIP) to anyone here, even if you only have the "lowly" PC!

I know what you mean! I used the 106ff on my Vivid Red Lincoln LS and it made a world of difference. I will not use anything else but the Menzerna products from now on.

A few pics. These were taken in open shade. I used a flash on one of them.

LSP was OptiSeal (which I am also very impressed with).

Exactly where I am. I don't see how anything could improve on these products!

Somebody will chime in and say that the same can be accomplished with other cheaper polishes. I've tried many others and there's simply a Menzerna difference. Oh yeah, the "filler" crew is on the way too.

Both products are excellent. You will get a seal of approval on SIP and 106FF from a lot of people!!! If you don't have them in your arsenal, you really are missing out.

Re: Menzerna SIP and 106FF = Holy Grail!

Since the 1st time I have used Menzerna I have not reached for another polish except to add a squirt of Opt Polish on my pad to reduce dusting

I can achieve the same results with gravel. Besides, last time I used 106ff it filled in my inground pool. I can't find it anymore!
