I know the Porter Cable 7424 is the ultimate DA polisher, but I bought this Random Orbital polisher a while ago. Is this any good? No one here ever talks about them.
What`s the deal?

Thanks, Tom.
Any recommendations of where to get the mf and terry covers for this? I believe it`s a 9 inch pad.
Honestly it`s too slow and doesn`t have the pads to fix real problems. They are good for applying mild glaze and wax, and maybe for removing wax. I retired mine a long time ago. I know a PC can be expensive, but good tools are an investment that pay back huge in time savings and quality work.
I have definitely learned the lesson that the right tools make the job a lot easier...I just installed hurricane shutters on my house and I bought a corded hammer drill. Man! That made the drilling and screwing of the Tapcons so much easier. I already had a rechargeable battery model that just didn`t have the power to get into the concrete. I`d still be out there trying to make the pilot holes!
My plan is to get the PC, but I had this laying around the garage and wondered if it was any good.
